Make the PLAN MANAGER TIPS GO AWAY!

  • Okay, it seems like no matter what I do, EVERY single time I track the plan manager tips are on. I've clicked the "Turn plan manager tips off" box several times now and I've gone into my settings and turned them off completely. They are still popping up.
Anyone have any suggestions to make them go away permanently?
  • Constantly!!! I get so mad!!!! I thought maybe it was only happening to me!!!!!

NOPE! It's making me insane. I've emailed them, but they're taking FOREVER to get back to me. I'll let you know if I hear anything back from them!
  • Ya know, this happens to me, too. Drives. Me. Nuts!

I have a feeling it probably has to do with my cookie settings. I probably have my browser set to delete cookies regularly. Still, those tips -really- shouldn't pop up every.single.time I go to use my Plan Manager.
  • I'm not getting them in Chrome. I quit using Firefox with WW because of weird problems. Like logging in 10 times in a row and it just bringing me back to the login page. Or the plan manager not opening. Chrome works just fine for me, so maybe you could try that?
  • Weight Watchers customer service amazing insight on this was, "Go to the settings. Disable plan manager tips." after I had sent them an email telling them that I had already done that. Geniuses. I am going to download chrome and see if that works because it's making me batty.

    Thanks for letting me know!
  • Hey ladies, I just got another email from WW. See if this helps any of you out. I'm getting ready to try it.
    1. Go to www.weightwatchers.com.
    2. Once our homepage has loaded, right-click on any flash-based content and select Settings.
    3. Select the Folder icon for the Local Storage screen.
    4. Make sure your setting is set to at least 100 kb.
    5. Click the Close button, then close all browser windows, and relaunch to resume use.

If the issue persists, it is possible that you have a 64-bit Windows operating system and could be running a 32-bit web browser. If so, those with your system configuration have found subsequent success taking the following steps:

    1. Go to www.weightwatchers.com.
    2. Once our homepage has loaded, right-click on any flash-based content and select Settings.
    3. Select the Folder icon for the Display screen.
    4. Uncheck Enable hardware acceleration.
    5. Click the Close button, then close all browser windows, and relaunch to resume use.

Update: Neither of these worked for me, I'm just going to use chrome.
  • I use Firefox and this never happens to me. I doubt it is in WW website but as the previous poster said, in your cookies. Try clearing them.
  • I finally figured out what it was, I had firefox set to never remember my history and it just keep resetting it. Completely fixed now. PHEW! Thank goodness.
  • Headed over now to see if I can figure it out......
Thanks so much for all your help!
