mammasita - do you mind sharing what you had yesterday? 1750 seems high to me for 25 points... I've been tracking (RELIGIOUSLY) both points and calories - and have come no where close to that amount of calories - and not sure why... I'm going to also check out fatsecret. I've really only been eating whole foods though..so maybe that's it??

Of course, and I mis-spoke, I just took a screen shot and I was at 1893 calories.

Here is the fatsecret breakdown:

And the WW totals:

Thank you SO much for sharing! That is so interesting to me! Your choices were certainly all good ones, so what this has shown me is there's defintiely a bigger variance between points and calories than I even thought!! I guess now I think it's even MORE important for me to watch the calorie count along with the points...

I like that I don't have to worry about calories with WW. I think that's the beauty of the program and why I love it so much. Sure my calories were up there but they came from pretty good foods...and scientifically speaking that food will be metabolized in a different way than 1800 calories of French fries and cake, you know?

In any case, we should do what works best for ourselves.

good luck

Default I'm on WW too...

Snoofie
I have been looking for that information too and found it by googling it. This led me to the WW site which stated that points are from 30-45 calories. When in doubt though I created a spark people page and double check myself there. While definately tedous it might give you an idea of what you need to be at when exercising. Keep up the great job!

I feel the same way after working out. Agree with 124chicksinger, try chomping down on some zero point fruit. Not sure whats different about apples, but they tend to curb hunger pangs for me. Good luck!!

I also use a calorie counter online in addition to tracking WWP, just to see about how many calories I am eating each day. I eat 26-28 WWP per day, and I have been averaging 1200-1400 calories per day, even when some of my points come from higher calorie, less healthy food options.

This probably makes me sound really weird, but I found myself less motivated when I was counting calories, and more motivated when counting points. Why is this?? I don't know maybe counting points make me feel like I'm not being jipped, lol, which is silly because technically there is no difference, just two ways of attacking the same problem. Yep, I'm weird! Lol

No Lorna - not weird at all!

For me, I am trying not to over-think the program and just follow as written. I tend to overwhelm myself with "why this" and "why that", instead of just following it because we all know that it works

For me WW's pts seem to average out to about 35 to 40 calories a piece... When I eat more zero pt foods than it's about 50 calories... I haven't really been losing on WW, but at least I haven't been gaining... so I'm actually OK with that... and after doing some strict calorie counting on top of counting points... as well as using a FitBit... Its looking like I'm really going to have to stick as close as possible to 26 pts a day if I want to make it to goal... So I'm trying to put together the motivation I need now to finally lose these last few pounds... But it really has been like "two steps forward... one step back..." for me lately...
