Weekly Weigh In Makes me Nervous

Hi all,
I go to meetings each week and I step on the scale each week, but every week I'm just as nervous as if I was stepping on that giant scale at the Biggest Loser ranch in front of millions of people. Even if I did everything right. I'm still nervous. Anyone else go through this? Can you tell today is my weigh in day?

I think it's normal to want to "do well" on the scale, and that it can be a time of anticipation before we step up.

I went through a time (when I was able to go to meetings) that I didn't want to focus on the scale, so while I stood up there I asked the ladies at the counter if they would refrain from telling me anything about the weigh-in. I actually enjoyed it. I didn't look, and they were very pleasant about not saying whether it was up or down or sideways.

If you don't like anyone hearing anything about your weigh-in, most of the workers at the WW centers I've been to are very accommodating. That gives you the freedom to check it on your own privately without any part of your weigh-in being said aloud.

personally prefer to weigh in the privacy of my own home. Tomorrow will be my first weigh in since joining, since I was away last week. Its in the evening, so I am a little worried about that. I refuse to avoid hydrating or to avoid eating all day for weigh in, don't know what others do.

I've been weighing in weekly for 2 years now and I STILL get nervous. There are some weeks I feel like it's too much pressure to produce a loss. Now I'm pretty much relying on the tape measure because as long as I see the inches being lost, that's all that matters!

I weigh in at home and have done it weekly for over a year now and still get nervous :) I think we put too much stock in the number and while I know it's important, I think inches lost are equally important. I know I'm losing inches when my weight loss itself is small.

ok, plan of attack, I weighed at home with my clothes on, then went to the meeting. Felt much better, and the scale at the meeting is a little lighter than mine. all well.
