patchy, 12.4 lbs over the last 4 weeks!? Wow! That is seriously so awesome! Congrats :)

I'm officially back on track after taking it easy since last thursday (did not gain though)

Hope everyone is having a great monday :)

Hey guys, mind if I jump in? I joined WW Online a couple weeks ago and after a slow start, finally have some momentum. I had a weird transition away from super low-carb, which made me feel great but was totally unsustainable for me... So I'm coming back to my beloved WW, which I am finding weirdly comforting! I lost 30lb several years ago, then stopped going to meetings and tracking, and slowly put it back on. I'm looking forward to going back to meetings in a couple of months once my weekends die down (once my wedding is past!). For now, I want to get a head start on the process and get back to a point where I feel good about the choices I am making day to day!

Looking forward to getting to know you all :)

Welcome abluvion :) I love the proverd in your signature, btw!

I'm officially back on track since yesterday, after having a ''taking it cool'' weekend. I did not overate, I just did not track and indulge a bit. I did not gain though, which I'm really happy about that. It conforts me to think that when I'll get to maintaining, I just won't jump back in my old routine.

My bf is going away for 3 days this wednesday to attend conferences in Quebec city, which means I'm going to be myself (and the Monster Cat). I'm already planning some good and healthy receipe that he usually does not enjoy while he will be away ;)

Hope you're having a great day :)

Oh and anyone seen Spooky lately? She haven't posted in like forever!

This past weekend I was out of town for my grandma's birthday and my sister and I decided just because we were on vacation we'd still exercise. So we walked 3.4 miles on Saturday and 3 miles on Sunday (we took yesterday, our travel day, off). I did very good with all the eating out and stayed within my points and only ate my activity points (40+ over the course of the whole week) and didn't touch my weeklies.

When I stepped on my aunt's scale yesterday (my normal weigh in day) I was at exactly the same as last week, which honestly didn't make any sense to me and for the first time since starting I felt very very frustrated. Last week was a small gain, the week before the two weeks before that were 1/2 lb each, so to see a maintaining week when I knew I was on point was very frustrating and annoying.

But then this morning I stepped on MY scale and was down 2.4, so I don't know what to think. But I trust my scale since it's the one I've been using for the past 8 months.

I changed things up by eating only my activities, and so if my scale is right that definitely helped me get out of an annoying month of weigh-ins.

Thanks everyone! It was a hard challenge but... so rewarding to have completed something like that. Well completed something successfully, related to food! *laughs* I'm especially happy about it because I didn't need to track for the last two weeks.... I just ate the things I was allowed, when I was hungry... and it works. I do miss a few things and will be adding some cheese, some natural sugars back into my diet.... and because of that will be tracking again. But it is good to know that when I get into that "I don't want to track" mode I can fall back on eating like that and know that I'm eating good food, and the right stuff.

Welcome abluvion!

Turbo - yay for being back on track! And what a great idea about the recipe *nods*

Spooky and I chat on twitter, I should send her a note and let her know she is missed. :)

Fingers cross for you Tudor! Our body mechanics can be so confusing :(

Isn't it an amazing feeling, to know that even if you don't track you can control yourself? Personnaly I think it's a sign that we're on the good way!

Tudor, I only trust my own scale... Every single time I jump on somebody else's scale I get frustrated lol

I am just back from my weigh in. Down 1.2 pounds. I am hoping to really knock things into high gear this week, and hit 50 pounds next week (currently I am at 48.8 pounds). There is a 2 hour Zumbathon at the Y this weekend where I live, so that should hopefully help!

mcorbesato 09-27-2011 02:49 PM

I also stayed the same this week. It's only my third week, so it's a little frustrating! Then I went to visit my college friend this weekend, and burned through most of my weeklies. Hoping I can stay as regimented as possible for Friday's weigh in. Hoping for the best!

OnceUponADrive 09-29-2011 06:42 AM

I'm mad! I did phenomenal this week with eating and exercise. I did everything right. I'm 1.2 away from goal. I jump on the scale this morning and i'm UP 1.8! I have only gained one other time and it was half a pound after a bad week. This is terrible! The only thing I can think of that would be affecting me as far as bloating is I had a diet soda yesterday afternoon. But how long does that stay with you? Seems unlikely it was that. It is so frustrating sometimes when I can have weeks where I blow all my weekly points over the weekend on bad food and lose steadily but I have a great week and I gain. :(

Proatthis 09-29-2011 08:17 AM

Onceuponadrive I understand your frustration! Hang in there if your doing everything right it will come off eventually. Don't get down about it.

singing 09-29-2011 09:04 AM

I couldn't say it better OnceuponaDrive! I'm right there with you,it is so frustrating.I was 1.6 from goal last Thursday and today..pffft, who knows? Eating well, tracking and exercising don't always add up to weigh loss and it keeps me shaking my head.

TurboMammoth 09-29-2011 09:35 AM

Awwww that sucks Onceuponadrive :( Especially when you know you did everything right.. I have nothing better to say that sometimes, sh*it happens. Hang on!

OnceUponADrive 09-29-2011 05:36 PM

By the time official weigh-in came I was only up half a pound. Not so bad. I'll keep plugging! I think my body is used to getting some fatty foods once a week and didn't like me skipping it!

TurboMammoth 09-30-2011 07:37 AM

Onceuponadrive, glad for you that it's only half a pound finally :)

Had my WI this morning, down 2,8 pounds!! I had a gain last week with TOM and everything so I guess I'm loosing for last week and this week. Finally making it to 30 pounds lost, so it's a super good start to the weekend! :)
