weird activity points question

  • Tomorrow I'm going to do some volunteer work and the place is like a 20 minute walk, so depending on weather, that's how I'm hoping to get there instead of driving.

My question is, would I count each way as a separate activity? Or combined? There will be a few hours in between, and it's only a 1 pt difference between 2 20 minute walking in activities and 1 40 minute walking, so it's not like it makes THAT much difference. I'm just curious if anyone else has had this and how they counted it. With food, I'd count them as two seperate items, since with so many hours between it would end up being two different meals, I'm just not sure if I should treat activities the same.

(Hopefully I'm making sense, haha. Plus, watch it downpour and not even matter!)
  • I think it's just going to be personal preference on this one.

I'd probably add them together, myself for a 40 minutes walk overall. But, again, that's just because I'd like to see the numbers added up.

    Yeah, that's what I figured.
  • I would treat it as two separate walks, since you may be putting more effort going one way or the other.. ie faster going to event and slower returning
  • So! My plan was to walk about two miles, from my volunteering then back home. But because of errands and other circumstances and random motivation, I ended up walking

    OVER FIVE MILES!

    5.75, to be exact!!

Oh, and WW counts them as one big workout. When I got to the volunteer office I put in the walk up there, then later once home I put all the other walking as a separate activity and when I went back later to put in food I saw that WW had combined them automatically.
  • I was about to say that your body doesn't really know the difference of whether there was any time between them or not so I would tend to count them as one activity.
