I have been on WW for 4 months now. I started at 193 and am now 171.2. That's GREAT, but I want to lose more. I have been at 171.2 for a month now. I track my food, I walk on the treadmill. I just CANNOT get the scale to move. Any advice would be really appreciated.
First of all, congratulations on your progress and on sticking with it! So important to keep taking steps forward no matter what the scale is saying.
1) Do you take pictures? Take measurements? Do you track how your clothes are fitting?
- Sometimes stalls happen on the scale, but improvements are happening in other ways. Losing inches, for example.
2) Have you recalculated your Daily Points recently? For example, making sure that the online tracker didn't accidentally put you in maintenance mode.
3) Has your food and exercise routine stayed the same? Have you tried adding a different type of movement? Putting a slight incline on your treadmill? Adding speed or time to your walk?
Start with those things, and see if something clicks in this next week.
That's great advice, lovely!
Also, keep in mind that your body needs to get adjusted to all of the weight you've lost and it might plateau as a result. (Check out the sticky thread in this forum on plateau-busting ideas - it's a great thread!)
I plateaued for 3.5 weeks at 166 after doing everything right, but just last week, I suddenly went down about 2 lbs. It's a pretty common - although frustrating! - thing to experience.
Anyway, stick with it and I'm sure you will get out of the rut!
