He he :) I will be sure to log on to here after a few shots LOL :) Seriously though, that is a good idea. I have been known to shot tequilla here and there. That and either water or maybe a diet soda to "drink" isn't a bad idea at all. I had a very small midori sour last week though, just one and lots of points, but I tell you... at that moment it was worth it, and I actually cop'd a little buzz from it. Doesn't take much for me though, even as heavy as I am, I am sure a rare drinker that it goes to my head quick.
I will give the full report when we return next tues :) I am saving all my weeklies for this event though, knowing that I may need them! And you are right, a 4 oz drink is kind of a joke... :)

I have really bad memories of tequila shots. Bad bad bad ones. LOL

I have a WI in 2 days and that's gonna be my last for 2 weeks, being off in vacations! We're going away and we're putting the scale behind. We might gain while were away but we're planning to do a lot of sports, so I hope it will helps us.

Can't wait til friday, 4:00 PM!

Have a great time on vacation, Turbo!

And I <3 tequila shots. :)

Have a great vacation Turbo! :)

I had McDonald's for lunch and it was AWESOME. I stepped on the scale this afternoon and I'm almost back down to where I was before I went crazy. A little motivation to stay OP this week. I have 18 weeklies left to last until Monday but I'm working every day except Sunday so I think that will be fine. I have a tendency to eat less on my working days because I'm busy. I think a lot of my eating is out of boredom and/or laziness.

I've never used all my weeklies. I have always been hesitant to do it. Yesterday I went a lil overboard. Had a cheeseburger and fries for lunch and then came home late and had 3 slices of pizza. It was Naked Pizza so I could have been worse. Only 4p+ instead of 7. But I went into my weeklies by 11. Never gone that overboard in one day, so now I'm a lil nervous.

I got a postcard in the mail from my meeting leader and the receptionist. Just a lil handwritten note saying they were happy for me and also very proud. It was very thoughtful of them to do that and it was nice to get something in the mail besides just bills and credit card offers. Haha.

Y'aaaaaaaaaaaaaaall...okay, I introduced myself in the Tracker thread, and I thought I would pop in here to say hello as well! I just got my butt thoroughly handed to me by BodyPump, and I can't wait to go back. Seriously, I hate, hate, hate working out, but this class made me feel so strong and powerful that I'm kind of psyched to go and torture myself again.

(Someone remind me I said this tomorrow when I'm curled in the fetal position, crying from hurting so much.)

I had frozen yogurt tonight. With cheesecake bits and with cookie dough bits.

But at least I planned for it and kind of saved throughout the day (and somehow still met all my healthy checks too!)

Sometimes, you just gotta let loose. :)

Hey --- jennyplain I LOVE body pump! Just remember to drink lots of water and ibuprofen helps. Also... keep going and it stops hurting so much. Or you get used to it *laughs*

I did Spin and Body Pump last night back to back, today I ache. I made my best friend do it too and she is in so much pain *laughs*. I've at least been doing this double for a while so I'm used to it.

I also <3 tequila shots but boys heart me drinking them even more *haha* The last time I seriously drank it I was 20 and in mexico and don't remember most of it. :)

Congrats Spooky for being on track again! I do the boredom eating too.

I'm down 3 pounds this week! I hit 15 pounds lost total since starting WW! I'm super excited. You girls are making me hungry with talk of McDonalds, pizza, and cookie dough frozen yogurt! I am prone to going a little nuts on Thursday and Friday after weighing in. Going out to eat tonight and trying to stay on track!

TurboMammoth 07-22-2011 09:24 AM

I WI today and I finally hit the 20 lbs lost! YAY! Great way to start vacations :)

mercuryblue 07-22-2011 11:08 AM

Nice work everyone who lost!!!! Have a great vacation too Turbo!!

tw326at41 07-22-2011 11:30 AM

Hope you don't mind me jumping in...my meeting isn't until tomorrow and I am going out tonight. How many points are in a margarita? What about a swirl (margarita with sangria)? I know they are high but how high?
Catahoula: Loved your post. lol. How many points in those shots?
I REALLY want a swirl but don't know if I'll have enough points. Could do light beer, it's gotta be less points. But who knows...may have to stick to a shot or two! :-)

I weighed in yesterday! :) I lost 6 pounds!!!! :) this is awesome, because I have been working really hard and losing a tiny bit at a time, so it looks like it finally caught up with me. It was the TOM this week, so I am sure that is why I was holding on to some last week. The awesome thing!? That makes a nice 20# :) I am thrilled, and it's a great way to start off this weekends plans of going to visit my family :) I think it will help me keep my head in the game and keep on keepin on! :) woo hoo! I am so freakin happy :)

Hey guys... so, apparently I have inspired someone in my life to try WW- that someone is probably 300+ lbs and has a lot of health issues, so I'm excited to teach her, and hope that it helps alleviate her problems. I'm gonna show her what I know: I personally do WW from home- my SO bought me a calculator when he was doing WW thru work, I track on an excel spreadsheet, and use the little blue book & various websites to figure out nutrition facts. (I lost 30 lbs last summer and 20 lbs in the last 2.5 months using this method). I know she will benefit from having the support of meetings, but she cannot financially afford it at this time (as can I )... I'm thinking about having her meet up with me once a week, as a sort of weigh-in support experience. Then I can keep an eye on her tracker and give advice to fix things where she can (if she wants me to).

As for exercise, I believe she has some discs problems in her back (so my favorite bodyrock.tv is out)... I'm going to suggest short walks, water aerobics if she can get to a pool, and yoga (I have an awesome DVD by Abby Lentz called Heavyweight Yoga).

Do y'all have any advice that I can throw her way? I just want to make it an easy experience for her so that she doesn't get frustrated and give up. Do you know if WW would sell her the calculator and blue book, even if she wasn't a member?
