Mini goals

I have a pair of pants hanging where I can see them daily and I try them on every couple of days. It helps motivate me! :dizzy:

What is your mini goal?

I have 2 pair of jeans that I bought when I lost weight a few years ago. I am bound and determined that I will fit in them again. I try them on every couple of weeks.

I have 1 large goal of being 145 or a size 10, whichever comes first. My mini-goals are 5% losses. I just hit my latest of 187, yesterday.. my next one is 178.

I don't really have a reward system, but I definitely get excited when I hit those little ones. It makes it easier to manage the loss when I'm not thinking about losing 60+ lbs.

I also do something similar to you girlsenberry. My mini-goals for the scale are the 10's such as 170,160,150, etc. When I started this journey, I was 221, and knew I needed to lose at least 70lbs. Mentally, I just couldn't handle a number that large.

I weigh myself on my Wii, so the other mini-goal I had were for that horrible machine to stop telling me I was obese...then overweight...and finally now, she tells me I am normal.

My mini goals (and rewards) are 10lbs (new blu-ray movie), 10% ($30 at my favorite thrift store, no point in buying brand new clothes while I'm losing, lol), 30lbs (brand new outfit), 40lbs ($50 at thrift store), goal (haven't decided yet).

Most of mine are in my signature...

For my 10% I got myself Danskos and for under 200 my husband got me new trail runners.

For 15% I will get a new hair cut.

20% new workout outfit (sports bra, bottoms and top).

25% iPod w/ $25 iTunes gift card.

30% (67 lbs lost) 1 work outfit

35% (78 lbs lost) Nike Plus Accessories for my iPod

40% (89 lbs lost) Tattoo in memory of my mother.

45% (100 lbs lost, right around goal) New Wardrobe, including workout clothes and new haircut and style ($300 to spend at goal, $100 more to spend after 6 weeks maintenance and I become a lifetime member).

Lifetime member for 6 months, $50 for more clothes, 1 year Lifetime, $75 more for clothes.

I'm coming up on my 15% loss and I'm excited!

MrsD2008,

What great rewards for goals along the way. Thanks so much for all of your posts. I really get a lot out of them.

Wow!

I love seeing your goals - and how very specific! I can only think one goal at a time.... :/

My next goal is to get under 200 pounds (I have 13 pounds to go). I am going shopping for new pants as soon as that happens!
