I don't weigh in till Saturday, but I'm thinking I should see a pretty good number... I'm hoping to reach 20 pounds. I'm FEELING good, actually FEELING like some weight has disappeared over the past few days. I'm also able to wear those clothes that have been stuffed into the backs of my drawers and closets again. In fact, this weekend I need to donate my size 20 pants / jeans and 2X tops to Goodwill. I am wearing size 18 capris right now and the waist is HUGE. I'm also wearing an XL New England Patriots t-shirt that I haven't been able to wear in public for two years! LOL! I'm actually going to check out Savers and the Salvation Army thrift store for some inexpensive items to tide me over, since each size is going to be short term... I'll save the real shopping for my goal!

BTW - I know it probably seems odd that at 261 pounds I'm wearing a size 18 and XL top. I'm not sure of the math there myself... At my lowest adult weight of 195, I was in a size 14 pants and a L top. My body has always been dense and compact. At 340 pounds I was a size 26, when other women my size were wearing size 32. Now sure why, but I'm okay with it... There are cuter styles in sizes 16 & 18 than in size 26 for sure! LOL!

The trouble will actually be when I get close to goal. I have HUGE thighs, and I will probably have to continue to buy plus size pants and belt the waists ridiculously tight just to fit my thighs. :-(

I'm not looking forward to weighing in on Saturday. I'm coming off a huge 5.4 lb loss and my scale is being stubborn this week. I also started Jillian Michael's 30 day shred and my body is extremely sore. I wonder if my muscled are retaining water or if I just made that up to make myself feel better. We shall see, I guess.

That's awesome!!! Congrats!!!

I'm actually looking forward to weighing in tomorrow. I'm pretty certain I'll exceed 20 pounds, but we all know how fickle the scale can be... We're going out tonight to watch the Bruins game at a bar with friends, and tomorrow's weigh in will keep me on the wagon. LOL!

How did you do Lisa? wondering if you got that 20lb loss!! We watched the Bruins game last night too, it was awesome!

catahoula 05-28-2011 11:01 AM

Hey guys, I've got a question. Last night we went bowling... For 4 HOURS! when I got home I decided to look it up in activity points. And the iPhone app said that 4 hours of bowling was worth 12 points+. I just cant imagine that's right. But then again, I'm sore as **** this morning.

Whatchall think?

loserjulie 05-28-2011 11:20 AM

Catahoula, maybe they are counting it as 4 hours of constantly bowling, then I could see the 12 pp. That is weird though. Who ever bowls by themself for 4 hours?

I was down 1.6 this morning at my meeting. Very happy with that since I had a big week last week (5.4 lbs). Looking forward to day 5 of Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. Never thought I would say that but I really am.

I'm down 0.8 again this week. We've had a house guest most of the week which means more eating out (including the day before WI which I usually avoid), less gym time. Still keeping active and trying to make good choices when I go out, but still, not the same as the usual routine.

Oh and yeah, that was a good hockey game last night!

I was sooooo close! I needed to lose 1.8 to get the 20 pounds. I lost 1.6! LOL! If only I hadn't eaten breakfast before my meeting... LOL!!!

Awesome game last night. And I was so good. Everyone else was eating crappy appetizers - jalapeno poppers, nachos, deep fried potstickers - and drinking beer. Knowing I was weighing in this morning, I sipped my water all night. I call that a HUGE victory!

I think I deserve a Stanley Cup for my restraint. ;-)

Yeah, 12 points sounds like a lot. Even more than that, the activity trackers says 4 hours is 21 points! (240 minutes = 21 points)

I figured it for 60 minutes and it came to 5 points. That's probably a more realistic number.

catahoula 05-28-2011 03:40 PM

I think I ended up counting it for 7. Which includes all the dancing I did in between. I went with three guys, and kicked each of their butts everytime. So there was alot of victory dancin!
