Talking Had First Meeting 12/31/02

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to say that I went to my first WW meeting last night! Finally!!
I have been going to the low carb forums, and was going to try that but I dont think I can stick to it. I like to eat what I want so I think with WW I should be able to stick to the plan.
This website is so useful to me. I have found many good low point food ideas etc.
Well I have 40 pounds to go. Hope I can make it! Thanks all.

Hi wvmom & Zimera1,

I'm rejoining Thursday also. This plan is the best. I couldn't imagine trying anything else. We can live with this plan. The others are okay to lose quickly but can we eat that way permanently? I can't.

Good luck to you both.

Good luck to all three of you! That first meeting was the hardest step for me. Now, its what I look forward to most weeks- to see my hard work pay off! I hope everything goes well for you!

You are all on the road to success. Weight watchers can take you there.

I went to my first meeting a year ago....Jan. 2,2002 and on the one year anniversary date of going I have succeeded in losing 96.2 lbs. I hit my goal weight the week before. I have 5 more weeks of maintenance till I hit lifetime. To be honest I did not think it was even possible when I walked into the WW meeting but....the proof is in my completely new wardrobe LOL.

I remember thinking I didnt want to hit another New Year's Eve and think...gee if only I had started then. The year went by quickly and now I can reap the rewards of my work ( although to be honest I didnt find it hard to deal with ...because WW always lets you be in control of what you eat.)

Stick to it girls and remember....." Don't give up what you really want....for what you may want right now".

I too joined this week, on Monday. I knew I wouldn't do very well the first couple of days, with New Year's Eve and Day, but since then, things have been going well. I am amazed at how much I can eat, and sometimes have a tough time hitting the bottom of my points range. It's nice to be on program and not feel like I'm starvin' marvin!

Hi Daners,
Congratulations on starting your WW journey. I'm glad to hear that you arent having the trouble with "not enough" food. That was what I had expected. Good Luck to you, Pam

Has anyone tried the Sugar Free Ice Cream Bars by Blue Bunny? They are GREAT!!! They come in chocolate, chocolate swirl, raspberry, orange, and rainbow. They are only 1 pt each and will fix a sweet tooth craving. My WW leader told us about them - they have them here at Super WalMart and Krogers. Just FYI in case someone needs them.

Hi tryin2loze,
Of course you are welcome here. You can e-mail me at the above address if you want. I am glad to hear you are doing so well. I didnt know how I did last week. I had my WI in Monday and lost 4.5 pounds!!! I was so happy because it was also my TOM. Now I have to see how my body reacts to a "normal" week.
Well, best of luck to you and hope to see you on the boards!

Weighed in today at lunch and down 3 pounds! Yeah! I am anxious to see what happens next week. After WI treated myself to lunch from Steak Escape - still within points though - had the Rajin Cajun sandwich for 5.5 points - and it was great!

Hello all! Well, we're all into our second week now--how's everyone doing? I weighed in on Monday and was down 2 pounds exactly. I was pretty excited considering I wasn't really on program for the first few days, due to the new year holidays and all.

Hope everyone else is doing well! Have a great week!

Kady: I had a similar weight-loss to you and I was sooo skeptical when I started too, but a lady at my second meeting got her 50lb ribbon and made it sound so easy that I decided to stick with it and became so motivated!!

Congrats to all of you who have started

Take care!

Ali
