this might sound preposterous but when you lose weight. Do you ever feel like you look fatter? I WI tomorrow, and i think i've only lost 1lb... so like 5.5 total (guessing), but i swear my stomach looks jiggiler/fatter/fuller... lol
Anyone else ever feel like this?

I know EXACTLY what you mean. Even after more than 30 pounds, I still look as fat as I ever did. I know I'm smaller because I wear smaller clothes but all the same cellulite and fat rolls are still there, now its like I'm just a scaled down version of my fat self!!

Hey, it's almost half a pound! Don't worry, you're moving in the right direction! It's only been two weeks and 4.8 lbs is fantastic!

That's pretty crappy of your husband. Wow.

mmel3283 03-23-2011 02:29 PM

My husband would get punched. That's horrible. :(

Spooky 03-23-2011 03:01 PM

Um, isn't she his daughter, too?

Still trucking along. Didn't have a great day yesterday -- stayed within my points but didn't meet all my GHG. It was my first night back to work and so my day was sort of screwed up. Just woke up a bit ago, having coffee and will have my 'breakfast' shortly. Planning on meeting a friend for step class later.

SN and probably TMI: this TOM is the worst in recent history. OMG will I be glad when it is over.

Jinksie 03-23-2011 03:31 PM

Yes he is, but in the 6 months of her life, he's yet to change a diaper. And he wouldnt have changed her, i wasn't going to stay at the meeting while she sat in a soiled diaper. So i rode my bike back home... around 15 minutes.

Today i feel tired. Mostly this afternoon. I think the low loss was disheartening, so im disappointed which has skipped over to my mood. I want to nap, but i cant.

not to rub it in, my my TOM is always uneventful. I actually (imo) lose weight during it. Feel better. Never cramp, never feel run down. I like my TOM... i feel my best then (lol)

Jinksie - At least it was a loss and not a gain? :)

I've been pretty tired this week so far; I'm not sleeping great. BUT! I have holidays tomorrow and Friday so I'm off until Monday now. :carrot:

I'm going to visit a friend this weekend but I don't have to worry about going OP because the aforementioned friend is also my former weight loss buddy! She is similar size to me, and we are still trying to lose together, even though we don't live in the same city anymore. We are going to work out together! Wahoo!

I did my Biggest Loser DVD again tonight, and I am feeling it. My arms and legs are super sore. But... the good kind of sore!

I had a 6" Chicken Teriyaki sub from Subway for dinner... but it was 10 PP. That is a lot! It's filling, but it won't sustain me for the rest of the night.

mercuryblue 03-23-2011 07:19 PM

MMm i love Subway!!! if i go there, i usually get the ham 6 inch sub on whole wheat, no cheese and loads of veggies, a little mayo and plain mustard. I count the 6 inch as 10 points as well, i tried to calculate as best i could. I think 10 sounds right? but they are super yummy.

Ive become addicted to this Kikkoman Teryaki marinade and sauce. I put it on cubed chicken in the frying pan and then stir fry up some veggies. Its awesome!! and 0pp!

Phae 03-23-2011 07:39 PM

I got the nutritional info for the 6" teriyaki sub and put it in my WWOnline and it told me 10 PP, so that's what I logged it as. Mine was on whole wheat with no cheese. It was yummy, with some sweet onion sauce, but definitely not something I can eat every night!

When i went to my WI last friday, i had to go back to ask the girl who weighed me if my points had changed since i have lost almost 15lbs. Then she realized that yes, i had gone from 38pts per day to 36pts. Isnt that sort of really important information? lol. Do you guys have to ask them if they have changed? or do they just tell you normally.

This week i feel like its been a bit tougher to stay on target. For some reason i started off the first 3 or 4 weeks tracking properly, and now i find myself being lazy and not writing things down, but trying to add them up in my head. I feel like im not doing a very good job, but then again my food choices dont change much so i know what they "cost" me. I gotta get back into using my tracker. For those of you who have been doing this several months now... do you still track faithfully? or are you guys doing it the same.

Spooky 03-23-2011 08:12 PM

Our center is computerized so whenever you weigh in they print out a sticker they put in your weight record. It says how much you weigh, how much you've lost or gained that week, weight loss since you started, and your daily points target. So if it has changed it will be on the sticker.
Also if you enter your weight into etools it will tell you when you need to recalculate your points target.

Keli10801 03-23-2011 09:10 PM

I always have to come home and log my weight on the WW site to find out of my points went down, which today the did.

Had my weigh in today and it was better than I could have expected. Down 6 lbs. for a total of 19.2. I was really on target this week with everything, and I think it helped that I gave up chocolate for Lent!

I often go back to weeks where I had a good loss and try to repeat a lot of the same foods. Does anyone else do that?

mercuryblue 03-23-2011 09:44 PM

Keli - WOW 6lbs!!! Thats so awesome. Lately its been reliable at about a 1.5lb loss for me per week, which i am still happy for, but id love to see a higher loss now and then like that. Just makes ya feel so good i am sure.

Spooky - i wish ours was computerized! thats great for sure. I have the calculator and i think i can work it out on there since that is all they did to find it out for me. but i recall setting up my calculator when i got it and now i have no idea how to reset it to check it out. cause i was going to calculate to see how many points my boyfriend would be with his stats. since we tend to eat the same foods all the time and he wants to lose as well. So i wondered if he actually was near the same points as i was. Do you know how to reset them?

I dont have etools. So i cant use that to help me out.

Congrats to all those with weight loss this week - every ounce gets you closer to goal! :carrot:

I'm having a good week so far. I felt so good after Sunday's race that I decided to join my husband and our cycling club in riding our bikes up to Atlanta's capitol building yesterday. About 2,000 cyclists from around the area gathered at the steps of the capitol to push for bike safety and awareness. It was a 70 mile ride roundtrip and while I was tired by the end, I wasn't sore or anything. I'm planning a 100-mile ride in May to raise money for the diabetes association so yesterday's ride bodes well that I'll be able to do the longer one.

Foodwise, I'm doing good - I ate more on Sunday and Tuesday to compensate for the extra energy output (I wore my HRM both days and burned over 2,500 calories each day) but it wasn't like I was sitting around scarfing down cupcakes and hotdogs. :) Still, I'm not expecting a big drop on the scale or anything, which is fine.

Spooky, I don't even know what that chisel class is but it sounds hardcore. I'm picturing a room full of sweaty, tanned sixpacks, haha.

Mercury, after more than a year and a half of following WW, yes, I still track! Up until a couple of months ago, I didn't use etools, I paper tracked everything. I carried my tracker with me everywhere and wrote down what I ate and if I didn't know the points, looked it up later and filled it in. Now I do the same thing with etools on my itouch. Even when I know the points values, this helps me be more accountable and aware of what I'm eating. It's easy to forget every morsel of food you eat over the course of a day.

Have a good night, all!

I "discovered" Turbo Fire yesterday ( i was looking up those insanity videos). Its by Chalene Johnson (Turbo Jam Turbo kick, chalean xtreme)... Alot of it is High intensity. WOW - i was breathing hard.
Almost every day has a stretch afterwards - which is amazing.

just thought i'd drop a line. Maybe some of you might be interested :)
