One month today and...

As of today I have been on Weight Watchers for one month, and at weigh in this morning I hit my 5% goal!!!:D Down 13.2 lbs and it feels so good.

Now if only I could get myself motivated to beef up my exercise. hehe

BlueEyes83 03-16-2011 03:25 PM

Congratulations!!
I am just starting to exercise and defiantly feel the difference already. I walk at work every morning and walk on the treadmill 3-4 times a week. I have so much more energy! Maybe that will give you some motivation :p

Thanks!

Proudmommy09, I do not touch my weeklies. I still get 40 points a day and I sometimes have trouble eating those. I am getting all my good health guidlines, so my wonderful leader, Miss Pat, said to keep doing what I am doing. No point in stuffing myself since that is how I got this weight in the first place.

A typical breakfast for me is either yogurt with granola or an english muffin with peanut butter and polaner all fruit and a banana.
Morning snack is an always apple. If I don't have it my energy bottoms out around 2 pm and I feel exhausted.
Lunch is usually a turkey sandwich loaded with veggies and light mayo on light wheat bread or a bagel thin or soup. I also have either a salad with almonds and full fat dressing (Hendrickson's Sweet Vinegar and Olive Oil is FABULOUS!!!) or cottage cheese with tomatoes.
Dinner varies daily, but is usually my highest point meal of the day.
Snacks vary also, but I love the Special K cracker chips and multigrain crakers with either salsa or laughing cow cheese. I love Popchips too, but they are hard to come by here. They just can't keep them stocked!

I typically splurge once a week on a Friday or Saturday with something the kids pick. Usually pizza or hot subs. If I pair it with a salad I can manage portion control much better.

Water was very hard for me at first. I have found I prefer my water almost room temp. It goes down easier!

BlueEyes83, I did start walking today! It felt great and the weather was wonderful for it!

That's awesome! :congrat:

As for exercise, find something you like to do - like walking - and set little challenges for yourself. Like, today I will walk this many steps, or today I will walk to this marker, tomorrow I will walk to the next marker (like a mailbox, street sign, etc. depending on your starting level).

If you have a gym membership, that is a great place to try new things. If you don't, but if you have a library in your area, they often have exercise DVDs that you can check out and try.

Great job! Your daily diet sounds awesome! I wasn't touching my WP or APs and I was loosing 1.6 lb on average. Not great in my opinion, but it's what the plan is made to do. Anyway, you are doing awesome! Keep it up!!!

sundancemommy 03-21-2011 08:49 AM

barbaramatafeo 03-21-2011 07:23 PM
