Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Hello ladies!

Just wanted to take a few minutes to wish you all a wonderful holiday!

Food has not been good for me; nor exercise. I've just been trying to get through one day at a time. We're all done with family dinners. It was hard to do my side of the family with dad gone. But we did it and it helped to be there again with mom. But we sure do know how to do comfort food. We've done DH's side of the family too. That was really hard for some reason. I was very low that day but we did it because otherswise that side would have not gotten together (no one would make the first step). DH and I are going to enjoy two days of peace and quiet with just us and the dogs. We're looking forward to this being our tradition. On Friday, we're headed off to Ohio to see DH's second son who has a new baby boy. We're only there for a short visit but it will be good to get out of the area.

Ladies, I'm all pumped to get back into the swing of things. I've been trying to rev DH up about losing 35 pounds himself. I plan on rejoining WW on the liberty plan as soon as there is free registration. I don't want weekly weigh-ins yet so I'm going to plan on going every couple of weeks or maybe every third week. Maybe that scale will be less controlling that way. The main thing is to get my head right and stay that way.

Have a great and safe Holidays! I'll be back on 1/2/03!

Hi Ladies,

Well, part of my Christmas has passed but the bigger 1/2 :) will be celebrated on Sat. as our friends join us to celebrate the season. If the weather holds my "best buddy" will be driving in from Toronto tomorrow night and staying thru the weekend. Luckily, she also is very WW conscious(sp?) and has been at goal for 2 years. It'll be like living with a WW leader so I'll be really careful! I need that.

We got a foot of snow with the storm yesterday morning so the yard looks like a Christmas card. I was able to shovel off some points.

Back to work....Catch you when I can,

Happy holidays to you all!

I'm here for just a moment - while the rest of the clan is still sleeping or still at their hotels.

Its been a wild week - lots of exercise (walking, shopping, themeparks, etc) but also lots of food. I had a Chic-fil-a lunch - chicken nuggest and fries - and made myself soooo sick! My tummy isn't used to high fat, greasy foods any more and I paid for it afterwards. Yipes!

Today is Dollywood (LOL!) and getting back to work (I have to shop packages as we haven't shipped since the 23rd). Oh, and yesterday was Free Listing Day on Ebay - so we're extra swamped with sales this week. This is what they call a "good problem".

I hope you're all doing well, I do miss you!

Sounds like everyone is busy with family. Three more parties to go and the holiday season will officially be over for me. None too soon, as I haven't counted points all week. Thank goodness we've gone to the mountains a few more times so that I'm getting good activity points learning to snowboard. DH bought a plank as well so he could ride with me, and picked it up in one day, the ba$%#^@! Guess his ability to analyze and figure things out came into play.

I'm looking forward to getting back into my daily routine, though. Miss all the veggies, believe it or not.

Happy New Year!

I'm back! I have to say that I'm glad the holidays are over. Its been such a hard time for our family but we're trying to return to regular life. For me, that means getting back onto the WW and exercise track. I'm ready!! I am so tired of junk type food. I am so ready for lean mean and great veggies too. So far, I have DH pumped about him losing 45 pounds. He put on 30 when he quit smoking after his heart attack. It would do wonders for him to take that off and then another 15. He's positive and asking for help. Ladies, I need lots of good vibes and prayers from you that he stays positive. It will help me stay focused too.

We had a good trip to Ohio. A fast one, but it was good to get away and see a change in scenery. I had only been through Ohio once about 25 years ago so to me, this was basically the first time. DH's son and new wife live in Marion. They have a new baby so we made the trip to see them and hold that baby!!. :bb: What a sweetheart! He is so tiny. I was afraid of dropping him or squishing him. I've not had kids of my own and haven't been around a new baby in so long. This was wonderful. And he has red hair too!! DH and I both cried when we had to leave. This is a son that didn't want to have a relationship with his father for a long time and made contact again this past summer. We were so nervous about going because it was almost like going to strangers but yet we hated to have to say goodbye.

Ladies, we need to get back to regular postings so that we can all get focused again and stay that way. I'm definitely going to do my share. I have missed you all so much.

Chillin - Your snowboarding sounds great. I'm with you on missing the veggies. Keep up all the great outdoor activity!

Bunny - Looks like you had a great visit with your family. I've had more than my share of indigestion these past few weeks. All that high fat and junk type food has not set well. That's a good thing that our bodies are telling us that they really prefer the good stuff.

J-Ann - How are you doing? Wow, you've had a lot of snow. We've not had one flurry hardly. It has missed us to the south and east on more than one occassion. Did your friend make it in from Toronto? Hope so!

Oh yes, I do plan on locating a WW meeting (just about 1-1/2 miles from the house) either on Thursday, Saturday morning or Monday evening. Haven't decided but am aiming for Thursday.

Take care and have a great New Year's Day!
