Lost my new calculator on day 2!

  • I am so mad at myself!

I had the new calculator in my purse and it fell out at a scout meeting/party Monday night.

We haven't found it yet, although I am not giving up hope. Emails have been sent out to everyone.

I can calculate online, but honestly, I am not good at keeping track all day and entering info at night. I need to know RIGHT THEN if something is worth eating, etc....

We leave for vacation Saturday and I have ordered another calculator but it won't be here by that date.

I may have to do the old plan for a couple of weeks until I can get a new calculator.

    GRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!,

  • what kind of cell phone do you have? you can download the calculator on your phone to use if you have a droid, ultimate points calculator is what it's called (they have a free version that works great or you can upgrade for 2.99) and if you don't have a droid then another way is to use a regular calculator and take the calories in the food divided by 36.. we found this to be pretty close in pts so I wouldn't recommend it long term but it will get you by until you can get a new one
  • No, have no fancy phones. I have a Sprint Lotus, don't think I can do it with that.

My husband has a blackberry, maybe I could use his while on vacation if there is an app available for that.
  • yes if you do ww online you can get the app for free for the blackberry as part of their etools
  • Thank you! I will have DH download it so I can at least figure out point values while on vacation.

  • I miss the Blackberry app! It was really easy to use and track compared to the Android app, imo.
  • Well, since it is DH's, I won't be tracking too much. I will just use it to look things up.

  • Interesting about the calorie count.

If I eat 29 points at 36 calories the average is 1,044 and then calories for veggies and fruits would take me up a bit.

The old plan was around 50-75 calories per point and I got 24 points......1,200 at the low end and 1,800 on the high end (although I can't lose on 1,800 without massive exercise.)

I would say that either way my calorie points are about the same with added fruit.

I was wondering about this.....I know healthier choices are fewer points, but calories do play a roll.

  • I can access the calculator by logging on to WW mobile, but the website says the app for blackberry is coming soon.

Did any of you actually download an app for blackberry yet?

    Dawn
  • can't you get to a brick and mortar WW and pick one up?
  • As I understand it, our WW center won't sell to non-members.

Anyway, good news, calculator has been located and DH is picking it up on the way home from work tonight.
