I lost 5.6 pounds this first week on the plan after not being active with WW since 2008. Very encouraging. I know every week won't go as smoothly as this week did, but I'm up for the challenge.
I made some better choices, and felt full quicker, however, still had too may points. I knew when I was on my trip I would misbehave. Getting down to brass tacks as of today!

You went on a cruise and didn't gain? I consider that a major WIN!
Congratulations on doing so well. Many people would have melted down in that position. Kudos!
Hi. I'm new here. Joined WW on 12/4 and weighed in 12/11. I tracked every day and thought I ate well, but I only lost .8 pounds. Even though it was a loss, I was still disappointed. My scale at home, which is pretty accurate, had me down about 3 pounds.
I will eat more carefully this week. Great encouragement on this board.
Brooke, don't get discouraged! Tracking your weight overtime (like a month) to see your trend in weight loss is the best indicator of how you are doing, not just one weigh in. Also, in my experience scales can be fickle so I don't place too much stock in it all the time (although when it upsets me I just come and post here and get encouragement to keep going!). So stick with it and I know you the results you want!

I wish, no actually up a total of 5 (it took almost a whole week for all of it to show up : ( . Yesterday was a good day, very sore from exercise so I am sure i am also retaining water. Hopefully next week I will have a nice loss. Inch by inch

I misread your post, sorry! But still. Five is better than I did when I went on a cruise a few years ago (a weekend cruise, at that). With all the food they throw at you, you must have made some smart choices. Good luck next week!
Thanks skinnycow. I know that you are right. But there is nothing like a spectactular loss to start. I also need to stop weighing myself every day (which is also upsetting, since my weight fluctuates every day). Several of my co-workers who are on WW reported significant losses this week. They looked at me with sadness when I told them my number. But I am staying on program and feeling pretty good. I am committed to one full month. I keep telling myself that slow and steady is the recipe for success.
