soooo I know that having your period does effect your weight slightly..I have my weigh in tomorrow and I dont think it would be cool if my weight is completely off from the water weight and bloating..so my question is..how MUCH does it effect your weight? and have any of you ever been frustrated with this?

I've been at this for 12 weeks now and have not had it cause a gain yet, just not as much as a loss that week. And I bloat bad..drink lots of water, it will help.

PeanutM91 12-05-2010 09:38 PM

I drink tons of water already. I'm one of those people who feel as if I've gained before my period and then feel thinner while on it? lol and eat a ton before my period and am barely hungry during. I'm an odd soul. I'm hoping theres no gain from it because I feel great this week.

I always feel bloated during my TOM. I gained .5 last time I was on my TOM. Just try not to give into cravings. I always want to eat alot at that time of month.

I always want salty, greasy nasty fried food when I'm on mine, this month I was able to overcome the cravings. For water weight, I take Midol. It has a diuretic in it.

oooh, gross. Yeah, I always crave chips, and chocolates. I find that my periods have been less painful than normal lately. Maybe the weight loss has helped.

I drink tons of water as is and I know that hydrating your body well helps to decrease bloating and water weight gain. Shoot, I've been drinking a 55oz smart water with pink lemonade crystal light mix in it tonight and in the past 20 minutes ive gone pee 3 times. BLEH but alas, this is my nightly routine.

I usually gain between 3 and 5lbs worth of water weight during TOM which I lose a couple days after I'm completely done. Sucks being a woman!! lol!

I also discovered that since losing weight, my periods are shorter (4 days) and less painful!

Jojo381972 12-05-2010 10:37 PM

^That's awesome.

Peeing is good, Peanut! lol.. I know how annoying it can be. It wakes me up in the morning.

PeanutM91 12-05-2010 10:38 PM

Yeah mine is usually unbareably painful but its not too too bad this time.
bleh I hope it doesnt show as a gain

TOM is killing me this week. I'm only down 1 lb after doing the new program a week. I'm hoping it's because i'm swollen and bloated.

PeanutM91 12-05-2010 11:28 PM

it sucks

spryng 12-06-2010 05:48 AM

I guess my body is all out of whack because I've had two tom's since starting ww 3 weeks ago, I have no symptoms either (which is even stranger) I just wake up and realize I've started! I don't feel bloated or craving anything, very strange for me. My scale has also been moving consistantly down, no stalls or gains because of it.

brokengently 12-06-2010 07:37 AM

...what does TOM mean?!
Sorry, I always see it around the forum but I can't find what it stands for... >.<
