WW shakes
Hi!
Has anyone tried those weight watchers shakes? They look SO good on the packages...but do really taste? I am from Canada and I have not seen them for sale...but I thought I might buy some from e-bay and try them...but if they taste like chalk...then forget it. ANyone tried them? Did you like them? What was your favorite kind? |
oh...I just noticed there was a poll board....I hope it was okay that I posted it here!
|
I've had both the chocolate and vanilla and find that I like them better mixed with skim milk and ice cubes. They're filling and keep me satisfied. I don't like them mixed with water, they're gritty in my opinion that way.
|
I personally HATE them. They taste like chalk to me!
Tara :D |
Thanks Tara,
That was what I was afraid of. Do you make them with water or milk?..... |
I made them with milk -- they aren't that bad -- I actually liked them at first.....BUT then they started tasting like chalk -- that was enough for me to NOT waste my money any longer! (and they aren't cheap!)

WW Shakes
I use them with Milk, sometimes calcium fortified OJ and frozen strawberries, or frozen fruit of some kind. Also, sometimes put a tablespoon of Peanut butter. It makes a difference and then it sticks to the ribs.....:)

Hi,
The vanilla shake is the pits!!!!! Yuk The coffee one is really good. Tina |
I didn't know there was a coffee flavor! Thanks Tina :)
|
We don't have the coffee ones! WAH!
I would be willing to try it though -- maybe I should check out some other WW centers! Thanks for the tip! Tara ;) |
Hi All,
I am so surprised that y'all don't have the cappuccino flavor!!! It's great for breakfast or an afternoon snack when something sweet beckons. :) Maybe it's being tried out in the South/Southwest. Good luck finding it. I'm sure you will like it. Tina :flow1: |
Love them!!!
Hi Momof2girls. Personally, I love the chocolate flavour the best. I used to make them with skim milk and ice cube chips. I would fill a large cup of the ice chips, pour the powder in and then add the milk. My cup was large (wide) enough to have a hand held braun mixer whip it all up. By the time I was done, I had a great frothy milkshake for 3 pts. (2 pts if you used water instead of skim milk) Did I say it was large? Mine whipped up to almost 14 0z. LOVE THEM!!! I would have one every night as my treat and get my second milk serving in. I need to buy some more. Someone suggested a pseudo smoothie by using Swiss MIss fat free hot chocolate, ice chips and skim milk....but I haven['t tried that yet. Good luck with your poll.

I do not buy the WW shakes. I never have tried them so cannot comment on the taste but wanted to share a recipe I make. I'm sure it is much cheaper than the shakes and it does count as 1 milk serving.
*** MOCHA MILKSHAKE *** 1 cup of frozen coffee (I freeze leftovers in plastic cups for this) 1 cup of 1% milk (2 pt) 2 servings (1/2 package) of instant jello chocolate pudding powder (SF and FF) (1pt) Blend until smooth. It makes a very large and very thick chocolate shake for only 3 points. |
