I feel like I'm cheating...
When I use my 35 flex points...I'm not...but I feel like it.
We had a birthday party yesterday...and I had a cupcake and a service of ice cream and some of the food they had...I fit it perfectly within my day...but I still feel like I shouldn't have. Does anyone else still feel that guilt? I see all the other calorie counting plans that others are doing around the forum...not weight watchers...so I feel like I'm still doing bad things by using those points... ugh....:?: |
ive been doing weight watchers on my own for the past four weeks. Im on 26 points a day im not sure what the flex points is? i dont use that programme im just sticking to ww basic rules etc.
However my 3rd weigh in and im still maintaining :( i havent lost at all. Its so dishearting. I have been for a meal and had few drinks thisweek end for my anniversary but nothing greatly out of the ordinary and i saved points. But i just dont seem to be budging. So im feeling guilty with most stuff i put in my mouth as it just doesnt seem to be working for me :( |
lucky8~ Have you thought about trying eTools with WW? It's pretty cheap and you can double check how many points the foods you are eating are worth. Sometimes I think something I'm eating is worth so many points, but when I look it up, turns out it's worth more...
mmel3283~ If you're seeing success with your weight though, don't feel guilty! Those points are there for you to be able to indulge on occasion without going overboard. If you aren't seeing any success, you might want to consider using less or none of your weekly bonus points. Remember, even though sometimes WW feels like a diet, it's meant to be a life change, something you can live with forever without feeling like you're depriving yourself. |
My first week I only lost .5lb but I was mis calculating a few points. idk how much I've lost this week...but I feel better...not as uncomfortable.
I think I'm just stuck in that "diet mentality" and cant shake it |
Hi!
I use both my Flex and AP's. Every Friday I have a high calorie day and use all of my Flex and have lost an average of 2 to 3 pounds a week since starting Weight Watchers back in January! In the beginning I felt like I was cheating too but every week I was seeing a loss at the scale so I knew eating the extra wasn't hurting me in the long run. Not everyone chooses to use their Flex Points like I do, just make sure you use them in a way that makes you feel comfortable! |
Yes actually, I feel the same way. It makes me so nervous to touch those flex points, so I usually don't. I have had Thai food for the last two weekends and so far it hasn't affected my losses, so I guess I need to lighten up about it. :) and I agree with KimL--It is a lifestyle change and not a diet, so there will be these things always going on in the future.

That's exactly how I feel too, but I have to admit that even when I do eat the flex points I still usually end up losing weight for the week. As of right now I try to avoid eating them, but if I have to, usually because of a social situation, I try not to let it bother me. I know its completely mental for me.

Hi mmel- that is why the flex points are there, so that you CAN have cake and ice cream. The WW model is set up so that it is a lifestyle change, not a diet. You are not going to go the rest of your life without cake, you just have to work it in!
Don't feel bad about it at all! :) :) :) |
