I googled on the possible side effects of green tea and ended with a class suit against the manufacturer of Mega T products with some sort of settlement at megatsettlement.com

It seems that overstatement of product benefit is simply even out with a simple
"NO APPROVED THERAPEUTIC CLAIMS".
