Ruby Tuesday to the rescue

Today I had a MAJOR craving for comfort food in the form of a bbq pulled pork sammich. Now. Not tomorrow, not sunday, no waiting so I can make it myself....NOW. please.

So I hunted and hunted through DWLZ, Daily plate, sites of local chains, etc for something we could order and bring home (i fear restaurants right now....looking at the food I shouldn't have on the menu is one thing, staring at it and smelling it at the table next to us is another). I was darn near fed up and ticked off when the hubs suggested Ruby Tuesday.

So for 17 points I had a half-rack of classic bbq ribs; creamy mashed cauliflower; side of sauteed mushrooms. Sure, I could have saved some points by getting the steamed vegs and eating only half the plain baked potato. Or just all vegs. But I really just kinda needed a food-happy-high, ya know? It only made me go over my daily points by 2 which isn't bad ( i have 33 a day for now) and I finished dinner FULL and HAPPY and sated. :carrot:

I so know how that "I need it now" feeling is! That's what I love about WW... with some planning, you can have those comfort foods and enjoy the heck out of them without feeling guilt! Good for you for doing your legwork first and not going crazy by ordering everything crappy off the menu and good for you for knowing your limits and staying out of the restaurant so it didn't trigger you! You done good, sister! :cp:

2 points? I bet you can walk that off in about 20 minutes! Yay for WW! I have been making pulled pork in my crockpot out of pork tenderloin....OMGoodness such YUM!

I've failed at recipes like that, I end up with dry meat. Can you give me your recipe???

I'd love the recipe as well....
Lilly great job on satisfying your food happy high :-)

Surely, ladies.

Buy a Hormel brand Always Tender pork tenderloin. Put it into your crockpot with about 1 cup of water. Turn it on low and cook it until it is no longer pink in the middle. For my crock, thats about 4 hours on low.

Drain the water off, shred the meat with a fork and top with the lowest calorie BBQ sauce you can find. SUPER YUM!

p.s. You can even "bulk" it by dicing onions and tomatoes into at the end. It makes it go further. It's up to you!

I wouldn't mind the recipe either plus it sounds good.
