Hi there....quick question about WW

Hi there

I haven't been to Weight Watchers in quite awhile and was just curious if WW is still using the points system?

I'm thinking of re-joining and just wanted to know if the points system is still in play.

thanks a bunch,

gail

Yes it is. I use it every day.

I use it as well. I have no idea what the Momentum program is.

Momentum is just the new name for the points system.

I had a lot of success using the Points and I am happy to hear that it is still being used.

Is 'Momentum' similar to the new 'ProPoints' we are using here in Europe? I think the main difference from the old system is that 'satisfying' foods such as rice, potatoes and pasta, have two point ratings - for example, 4 points for 100grams of rice and 7 points for a 'satisfying' quantity - meaning you can eat what you need of this one (without going crazy of course) to feel that you have eaten enough. Is that familiar to anyone? Or is it also the old system I started just as it was changed to Propoints here, making all the recipes my sister in law in New Zealand sent to me, have incorrect points and I needed to recalculate everything.... as they are on the Flexipoint system there...
Why is life complicated?! ;)

That's called the "Simply Filling" technique here. You eat until you are satisfied and count a higher points level for it, but you have to listen to your body and not overeat. Helps people who don't like measuring. But you don't HAVE to use "simply filling" - you can still just get your points target and measure your actual intake and portion sizes and count that way. Does that help?
