I did WW in 2007 and used all my activity points and all my bonus points and was very successful with my weight loss. I did something similar to Jermsgirl where I saved them up for the weekend to splurge.

I am just now starting back on WW and I didn't even use half my bonus points last week, but I am earning a TON of activity points (I'm told not to count more than 4, but I'm burning massive calories and I will count more!) and using most of those.

Sometimes I eat some of them, sometimes I eat all of them, sometimes I eat em all with my activities. Unless I'm not on plan (i.e. not writing stuff down like I have been lately) I always seemed to lose.

I think you should be able to eat them. I am on 32 points/day now. That means with the extra points I'm eating about 1,850 calories a day (if I divided them evenly). This is assuming 1 point=50 calories so maybe I'm actually eating a little more. According to Livestrong, at my height and weight if I were sedentary and wanting to lose 2 pounds a week, I would need to eat 1941 calories/day. Therefore, eating the flex points and my daily points, I should expect to lose at least 2 pounds/week. Today is the first day of my second week. Last week I had my WPA and I lost 4.8.

Well this is at once not helpful and comforting, LOL. It is comforting though to see so many of you chiming in to eat more! I've been leaving most of my WP untouched, for fear of eating them and seeing less of a loss. Granted I've only had 3 weigh-ins so nothing I can guess at right now will be accurate, since that first week was a huge loss - sure I ate a little more (Had 22 WP left and didn't earn activity) but it was the first week. The second week I lost a more reasonable 2 pounds, and I'd eaten a little less (had 25 WP left and earned 8 AP). The 3rd week I lost nothing (had 27 WP left and earned 8 AP). But again, many tell me that's a normal weight loss pattern.

It scares me to eat them all.
I keep equating less calories consumed = less weight lost but I'm guessing it's not quite "that simple" despite what others have said.

Just wanted to chime in on this. I lost 20 pounds on WW in 2007. Since then, I have gained 40 pounds and I have started WW again and again only to quit two to three weeks in because I would lose weight the first week and then little to none in the following couple of weeks.

Well, I was looking back at my old 2007 food journal, and I lost 4 pounds my first week, which is typical. I lost a more reasonable 2 pounds my second week, then NOTHING in weeks 3 & 4. After week 5, I consistently dropped on average 2 pounds a week (sometimes 1, sometimes 3.) Knowing that's what my body did before is what is helping me stick to it this time around (3rd week on WW this time!)

Oh I am glad this question was asked! This is only week 3 on WW and I was depriving myself all weekend so I wouldn't use my points. But I am going to eat them and enjoy them this week and see what happens :)

I never use my extra 35 points unless I absolutely have to (holidays, parties, etc.). I lose quicker if I stay away from them. :)

I eat all my points: weekly, daily and most of my activity points as well. I still find that my losses are pretty good! If I didn't eat all my points, I would feel very deprived, especially since I'm pretty active (I commute by bicycle, so I move quite a bit depending on the day).

When I did WW before I would ONLY eat them if I really realllly had too. They are there if you need them, you dont HAVE to use them. Some weeks I would need them especially on Sundays when I would go to eat with the fam. I know if I dont use them I will lose approx 1 pound more each week. This is just from personal experience! :) Best of luck, take all the advice you get, even what that lady told you at WW. You dont have to follow it all ;)
