What do you want to state here and now that will be your mantra for 2010?
Here we are again, ending one year and will soon be starting fresh. That fresh start is quite the opportunity.
So, here is what I have to say:
1. I can exercise more
2. I can learn to say no more often
3. I can forgive myself for those once in awhile indulgences, life wouldn't exist without them. I love life.
4. I will get under 160 pounds at a weight watchers weigh in and get down to 20 instead of 21 point.
5. I can journal, I can plan meals and I can do it better this coming year.
6. I can also be a better parent, wife and person. Aside from Weight Watchers, I can do good deeds, learn and I can be the person I always dreamed I could be. I will speak up for things I believe in and my voice will be heard in a positive way.
I hope others will share their own "I can, I will, I won't".
Thanks for reading this.
-I can exercise more consistantly
-I can broaden my scope of potential jobs (right now it's about employment more than getting into my field)
-I will get under 200 lbs in 2010
-I will make a change in my surroundings instead of continuing to be bored with my life
-I won't give up on myself or my dreams (weightloss and otherwise)
-I will exercise more regularly and more creatively.
-I can stick to my WW daily points and weekly points.
-I can get to my goal weight so that I...
-Will be as healthy as possible when I TTC my third and most likely last baby.
-I will cut down on excess...excessive food and excessive spending.
-I will remove the clutter from my life (metaphorically) and garage (literally).
-I will be a more patient wife and mother.
-I will stop to think about what I'm really hungry for before I put a bite in my mouth, a drink in my hand, or an item in my shopping cart.
-I will become more focused in all areas of my life.
-I will follow through on my plans.
-I will save money.
Great stuff, Amy!
I especially like this one:
-I will stop to think about what I'm really hungry for before I put a bite in my mouth, a drink in my hand, or an item in my shopping cart.
I think we should keep a notepad on the kitchen counter and before we eat something write down how we are feeling! Are you sad? Anxious? Depressed? Stressed? Pressured?
I CAN stay on plan and follow points
I CAN attend 3 meetings a month
I WILL sleep more
I WILL reach goal weight
I WILL become a lifetime member
I WON'T lie to myself or cheat
I WON'T make excuses
I WON'T beat myself up
TVG, great!
I'm "busy" avoiding my weight loss "issues" with Christmas. I find myself reflecting on why I do this every holiday season and I know perfectly well what I am doing.
I need to hang onto those 2010 goals.
I can... Lose this weight (85 lbs) I've piled up since 7th grade and will set smaller monthly goals to keep me focused (including many non-weight focused goals).
I will... Join WW before the end of the month and learn how I should be eating instead of listening to 'cravings', not eating at all because I'm 'not hungry', or just stuffing food into my mouth because it is there or already prepared.
I won't... Drop this life change after a week like most habits/routines I've tried to create. Heck, I fail to even take vitamins regularly, but not anymore, I will iron out a solid schedule this time.
Now that I've got that out on the table, I better get to work!
Joined up yesterday (12/30/09) and I've beat the rush by the sound of it. There was one lady who was just sitting in, but three others that had joined up.
I think I made a friend, Reuy. But yeah, I was the youngest there by at the least a decade. ;p But that's fine.
Welcome, zanheltangia! I hope all your dreams come true!
As for me, this New Year's Eve is my "last hurrah" and then I am back to some very serious efforts.
I'm a bit dissappointed in myself that I let the holidays carry me away, but the 1st of a new year is going to carry me right on back!

Linda, hang in there! It will get better if you keep plugging along.
Here are mine:
I CAN make healthier decisions.
I CAN respect my body and my mind.
I CAN avoid binging on chips.
I WILL continue to be a WW member.
I WILL continue going to meetings at least twice a month.
I WILL continue to exercise (walking mostly) at least 3 days a week.
I WILL be kind to myself when I make a mistake.
I WILL give myself permission to eat all of my weekly points if needed.
I WON'T give up no matter how discouraged I get.
I WON'T beat myself up.
