Non WW Pedometers and Activity Points

I wear a pedometer every day and strive for 10,000 to 12,000 steps.

Can anyone tell me how many activity points you earn per block of steps?

Is it one point for every mile (or 2000 steps)?

Does anyone know when the WW Bonus Buddies beeped to register an Activity Point earned?
