Low-point meal planning

  • I have been following weight watchers for over a year with good results - losing 119 pounds - but now that I'm down to just 19 points a day I'm having trouble doing meal/snack planning to fit into my points. I earn a ton of workout points each day but I prefer not to use those.

    My breakfast is 4-5 points, lunch is 5 points and I spend 2-3 points a day on snacks. That leaves me between 5-8 points for dinner.

    Any suggestions on filling dinners that fall within in the 5-8 point scale?
  • I'm not in the low point range but these are some of my favorite dinners:
    -- Morningstar Chipotle bean burger on an Arnold bun (5 pts total)
    -- microwaved in paperbag popcorn with spices (1-2 pts)
    -- lettuce salad with chick peas (2 pts) and other no point foods (onions, cucumber, green peppers, whatever)
    -- lettuce salad with chicken (4 pts) and other no point foods
    -- grilled chicken breast

    I earn a lot of activity points but if I'm especially hungry some days then I do use them.
  • You could try eating the same dinners as you did before, but cut down the portion size of the entree. Then add in some zero point veggies to give you a full feeling.
