Does anyone really know the point content of rice cakes? I've read one and two points each but...Considering that the dietary content of the flavored cakes varies so much, it may not be too accurate. I did try to calculate the points using the weight watcher system and am coming up with less than a point each?? I must be doing it wrong. Can anyone help please? I get so hungry and would love to be able to nosh on some crunchy rice cakes without worry of lots of points!!! Thanks in advance!!!!!
It depends upon the rice cake. Your point calculator is accurate, so if it comes up just under a point you would round up to 1 point. Or, you could figure the points for two (double the calories, fat, and fiber and use those numbers in your point calculator).
A point generally runs about 50 calories per point (more or less. for a high fat food it can run lower and for a high fiber food - lower). I don't believe I've ever encountered a 2 point rice cake (possibly the sweet ones, like chocolate or caramel? I've never bought those).
Thank you Kaplods!!!! Even rice cakes add up! It's so hard when my daily point limit is 18, it really limits things. Thanks for your response!!
