I've been doing ww here in WI and my sister joined about a month ago in TX. We have been comparing notes about our meetings and noticed big differences. She pays $13/week and I pay $9.95/week (we both pay for missed meetings) Also I get rewards.. ie. book mark, 5 lb stars, 10% etc. She doesn't!

I called ww this morning and they said her meeting is a franchise meeting and they can do things differently. I just can't believe that ww wouldn't make all meetings give out bookmarks and other rewards. They don't cost that much.. but are so motivating! That's a big part of our meetings.

Yes it is true that all franchises don't operate the same. I can't believe they don't at least give the bookmarks for 10 pound loss and stars for every other 10 pounds lost. THat is what my region does. I am going to assume she will stillget the 10% key chain and the charms for goal and lifetime. :)

I get one for every 5 lbs - trust me - I need the motivation every 5 lbs :)

I thought the same thing - all ww meetings should give out rewards - I'm am sure they don't cost much.

btw.. last night at my meeting a man reached 100lbs lost (he had to take off most of his clothes to do it.. too funny.. we were all chearing him on) Did you know you get a plaque mailed to you from ww for losing 100lbs? cool, eh?

Slimdown: Thanks for the info. I did not realize that some of the WW franchises were so different. I also pay $13/meeting, but we get all the motivational goodies (every 5 pounds). I was checking for my mother to attend WW in her area (same state) and she has to pay only $11/meeting. Also, to join, I had to pay $30; my mother will pay $20. I'm with you--the motivational stuff really helps.
