Today was tough to stick to my resolve. I went to my conference and did real well with breakfast, but lunch was something else. They served mesclun salad soaked in dressing and then fillet mignon, which I won't eat. The only meat I eat is fish and definitely not red meat. I asked for a vegetarian platter and they just took off the steak gave me the 2 sprigs of asparagus, 2 baby carrots, 1 stewed tomato and mashed potatoes that everyone got plus a small head of fennel. What a filling lunch! LOL! Then came the dessert plate with a small slice of chocolate layer cake, a tart and some kind of rich cream/pudding thing. Needless to say I ate all that sugar laden stuff (I did leave half the chocolate cake over in what I consider an act of self control). I needed to feel I ate something! Then the sugar kicked in the the let down happened about an hour later so I had a WW bar, which held me over until I got home and we ordered out Chinese.
Truthfully the end result wasn't all that bad, but I'm wondering what I really ate for all those points. Morning vigoraid 4 smoked salmon 1 fruit 1 Midday salad 2 veggies 0 mashed potatoes 2 dessert 6 at least ww bar 2 Evening bean curd with garlic sauce 8 Total: 26+ Exercise: walked to and from meeting |
mmmm, a fennel head, yummmm:rolleyes: Hey, I consider you had two great triumphs yesterday, Myra. First not eating all the chocolate (impossible for me). Second getting chinese food and only having 8 points worth! For me, a trip to the chinese restaurant is always a minimum 20 points easy. so all in all, I think you did okay, Miss Myra!
