Default I need help choosing a goal weight.

Hi everyone, my 10 percent is right around the corner and I know when you reach your 10 percent you and your leader get together & chose a goal weight. Well originally I wanted to be 110, now I'm kind of having doubts like that might be too skinny.

Im 5'2..and weight watchers says an ideal weight for myself would be 109-136pounds. I just feel 110 might be too small, so I'm considering maybe 120. I don't know. Any opinions?

well you dont have to pick your goal weight right now.

how's about aiming for the top end of "normal / healthy" and see how you feel then?

I'd select something reasonable. I think 125 is fine. If you feel like you can lose more once you hit 125, you can always lower your goal weight.

My goal weight right now is 150lbs. My BMI says I will still be "over weight". But that's what I feel comfortable with right now. Once I get to 150lbs, I am going to see if I need to lower my goal. We're never really positive how our bodies will look and no one's body is the same!

Have you spoken to your doctor?

And you don't have to set your goal weight right now but you want to pick something take the high end for all ages at you height and when you get within 5 of it look and see if you are liking what you see and adjust from there.

People I've talked to that set a goal on the low end of healthy seem to have a VERY difficult time reaching their goal, especially when it comes to the last 15 pounds. I'd set your goal at 120 or 125 and when you get there you can always reset your goal to be 110 if you feel it's something you still want to try for.

Can you talk about setting another goal before you do your ultimate goal?
Something more obtainable and not soo far off so you don't give up?

don't know if they do that or not?

I know about the 10%....I'm still waiting to reach mine..
The last time I did ww, we set another goal of 10% and went from there....obviously I didn't stick around too long.

You don't have to set your goal immediately. I hit 10% many, many months ago and do not have an official WW goal. I'd aim for the high end of what WW considers healthy - that way you can get there, maintain for a few weeks, and get your lifetime status! Then if you want, you can continue working on things while maintaining your membership without paying

Default Goal

I chose a goal weight at the high end of what is recommended for my height. It has been much easier to maintain throughout the years.
