Ok guys, this is too weird! I, too, was thinking about everyone and wondered if anyone was still posting.
I had gotten off track after having my lovely baby who is now almost 1 yr. old. I didn't gain back everything when I was pregnant, only about 35 pounds. I'm waiting for my new scale to come in the mail I ordered.(my old one was too far gone) I am going to be doing WW on my own since I can't find a meeting time here that will fit into my schedule. The first step for me was buying an accurate scale to asses the damage. So far, I've been back on program 2 days. Setina: Glad to hear you're getting the migraines under control. You lost it once, you can do it again. You're always so positive. Max: Glad to hear you're back on program. How are the twins? Looking forward to getting to know the rest of you. Has anyone heard from PCAngel or Cynthia?? :) |
I think Cynthia still posts occasionally but under a different moniker. I'll let her reintroduce herself if she decides to. (Haven't seen her in a long time, though.)
PC Angel, where are you? --Lauren H. (274/216.5/down) |
Wow, it is great to see all your names again. I'm still here, still plugging away, but I hardly ever post these days. Lurk often though. Last night at weigh-in I hit a real milestone--90 lbs gone for good! So I feel great today and am even more determined to keep it up. This is the year I hit goal. Heck, I'm *almost* below 200 lbs. I want it so bad, I can just about taste it! (how ironic is that comment?) Well, have a great day everyone, and a great week. I'll definitely post again soon.

Hip hip hooray!!! I've hardly had any time to even read 3FC, never mind post. I'm so so so happy to see this thread resurrected!
Hi Setina, Karen, Max, Marcie, Leelo, DixieChick, and everyone else! I've been doing WW the whole time. I've lost a total of 60 lbs so far. I've been on a plateau since June (aarrgghh). I've been OP and exercising. My body thinks I'm done losing, but eventually it will get the message that I'm not and start back down again! Max - how are the twins? Setina - I thought of you last week when I had 4 straight days of migranes (never ever happened before). I would get approx. 1 a year. Someone suggested I find out if I'm perimenopausal since hormonal changes can cause migranes. Marcie and I have been able to keep in touch a little bit (we both live in Tucson) by having a really great OP lunch together occasionally. She looks so awesome!! ------------------ If it is to be, it is up to me! One second, one minute, one hour, one meal, one day at a time! |
Hi Everyone,
Hope you all had a good week and are having a good day, hour and minute. It really is nice to "hear" from you guys and its nice to know that we're all here to find help, but we're also all here to help each other. We all really care about each other and we understand each other really well, and that is are to find. As a matter of fact I got a smile on my face when Leeloo was talking about Xenical and how she would eat more just to make it work, I thought I was the only one doing that. Well now I'm using Xenical again, but this time I'm on WW first and Xenical second. Meaning, I will stick to the points and use Xenical as a secondary tool to lose weight. The twins are doing great, they turned a year and a half on Monday and are truly 2 handfuls, but they are so great. They couldn't be any more different, they are totally opposite each other. My wife really has a hard job taking care of those 2 boys and the house. My daughter (5) has adjusted well to her brothers and to kindergarten. Setina, I'm glad you restarted this thread and I hope we can keep it going. Unfortunately, I don't have as much time at work as I used to, so writing individually will be very hard. But, I will read everyones posts and keep you all updated on how my journey is going. The journey got off to a good start this week. I weighed in at 296.5 (never thought I'd be happy to weigh 296.5 lbs) which is a loss of 10.5 lbs since I started last Thursday. Hope you all have a good weekend and I will "talk" to you guys next week. Max 315/296.5/246.8/187 4/25/98 [This message has been edited by Max (edited 02-09-2001).] |
WOW what a blast from the past.
I had been to this board back in December and I was wondering what ever happened to everyone who posted here. Today I just thought I'd log on and give it another try and here you all are again. I always lurked more than posted but I do remember all of you. I'm Diana from Florida, I posted under Blueyesdv8 way back then. I just rejoined again in January and I'm starting week 6, so far 28.6 gone. :) I would love to see this thread continue again, I always found such support and encouragement here!! |
Mare, way to go with sticking with the program in spite of that plateau! Wow, that's a monster. I've been on one for about 3 months now. I think I'm finding that I have to eat fewer points than I'd like. If I bank a lot of points and don't use them, then I seem to lose weight better. Let me know what eventually works for you; I'd love any advice.

I was sure hoping this thread would become "active" on a daily basis again!
Come on out and post Lauren: I realized last night that I have a resentment that I need to deal with. I resent that we have lost 2 pts. in our range. Because of that, I've taken to not banking and eating at least half of what I earn in activity points. It's time for me accept it and move into solution which is to shake up my eating by eating all around my point range so I can bank and not spend activity points. Time to break the plateau! ------------------ If it is to be, it is up to me! One second, one minute, one hour, one meal, one day at a time! |
See you "wet my whistle" and have me thinking this thread is resurrected, so I am now checking.
Come on, let's get this thread back on the ball! Lauren I had a great day yesterday. Solution is so much better! Ended with 27 points. (I'm 22-27) Earned 5 activity points and didn't trade any in for food! Today I'm aiming for 25 points eaten so I can bank 2 and have my activity points for the day too. I've started bringing a gallon jug of water to work with me so I can make sure that the minimum I get is that gallon. Come on people, talk to me! ------------------ If it is to be, it is up to me! One second, one minute, one hour, one meal, one day at a time! |
Hey Mare-
Good job with the water. Sometimes I find that is the hardest thing! Last week I lost 1.2 and this week I lost .8. But I will take it because I didn't journal and I am sure I over ate in points!! I hope we can get this group resurrected (sp). Have a great weekend. My kids have off tomorrow and Monday so I am off too! Wishing you much success this week...Karen |
Hi, folks. There's a very similar thread here called "200 in 2001" that serves the same sort of group that the old "100+ 2 Go" thread did. So check it out, too. Lots of great folks. Even if you're under 200 pounds now, we'd still benefit from hearing how you're doing -- we've got a few alumni who continue to post there, because frankly, those of us with lots to lose really do have a different sit of struggles. And it's great to see continued stories as people get closer to goal.
--Lauren, home with a cold today |
Hi Everyone,
Hope you are all doing well. I weighed in today with a 3 lb. gain. I'm actually feeling pretty good about that because I know that I had a tough week and 3 lbs. is not a big deal. And the other reason is that I stayed under to 300 lb. mark, barely. Hope you all have a good weekend!! Max 315/299.5/246.8/187 4/25/98 |
AAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! I've been thinking so much about you guys lately!! I've been off and on, as most of you sound to be, but I've had problems with computers as well so haven't wanted to commit to posting (DH building a new computer and wireless network. It just seems I haven't been able to find the friends and support here since this thread broke down a while ago. I'm so happy :) :) :).
Anyway, I have a new name since I have a new e-mail. Qwest and I aren't getting along too well right now. I've been giving the non-diet approach a go for the last month. I haven't lost much, but the bingeing urges have subsided. Anyways, I prefer WW still because I can plan on how much I'm going to lose. Plus it is so darn familiar to me (hence the new WW Queen title - though some may wish to fight me for the crown). On the 21st we leave for Cologne, Germany for Carnival. I will be starting at WW meetings again the Monday I get back (and I doubt I'll want to look at the scale after drinking that much Kolsh). I have been keeping up with the exercise bit because I understand there is an awesome gothic cathedral in that town but it takes a climb up 500+ steps to get to the top - and I'm going to do it. I'll check in here now and then before the departure date. It's so great to "see" you guys again. Love ya - Cynthia [This message has been edited by WW Queen (edited 02-16-2001).] |
Okay, I had some time to read through the posts after my initial euphoria had a chance to die down.
Leeloo and you other big losers - all I can say is WOW and use you as a reference point to what can be achieved if I just stay with the program one good days and bad. Max and Dixie Chick - I feel so old. I remember speaking to ya'll before you had those additions to the family, and now they are all 1+ years old . Oh my. I have a nephew who was born on Jan. 3. Poor guy had some struggles in the beginning but is doing fine now. Not much new with myself. I am once again in the land of "those who do not work". Actually, dh figures I will fix up the house since he is getting serious about moving to Steamboat Springs and this place needs to be in show condition. He also has always wanted a personal assitant! Take care folks, and I'll visit with you tomorrow. If you all decide to start posting in the 200 in 2001, let me know! Cynthia |
Mare, oops, in the private message I forgot to include my e-mail address. It's [email protected].
