Points in book verses points on slider?

  • Just started today and I am trying to get a sense of point values in the foods I eat. For example the WW book lists Lettuce as 1 cup 0 points. My Pre-bagged of Romaine is 2 cups for 0 points (15 calories, 2 cups, 0 fat, 2 grams of fiber)

    Which method should I use?

Rely on the nutritional information on the package?

    Any help would be appreciated!

  • I asked that last week. My leader said that always rely on the nutritional value versus the book. Which is good since my soy milk is "3" in the book but it is 2.

    Thank you very much!
  • You are welcome. Good luck on your journey!
  • Yeah, I would calculate the points based on the actual nutritional info. I think the book is just a general guideline, and doesn't take into account different brands, etc.

  • They are both correct. 1 cup is the normal serving that counts as one vegetable. So 2 cups is 2 veggies. Fortunately the points still come up to 0. Not always the case.
