One bad day
 
I have been on WW since 28 Jan 02 and have lost 25 lbs. For the very first time, I just started eating tonight. No binging, however, I did not count points and I KNOW I went WAY over my points.
Now I find I'm afraid to weigh-in on Monday becuase I don't want to show a gain.
I don't know why this happened. Even when I went to visit my family, I was SO careful, I ate only a little and lost weight. I have been working SO hard but now I'm afraid I've screwed myself up for this week.
What do I do? Am I at the beginning of a bad cycle??

No! Not unless you want to be! I read somewhere (I think it was DWLZ)- "One day at a time, no guilt, and move on." So you went over points...ok. Tomorrow journal really well and drink a lot of water- *reward* yourself for starting a new day!

OH my god...
I think we all do it. But the thing to remember is to just start fresh again and not look back. I went to Toronto recently and gained a pound on that weeks weigh in. I was totally prepared for the trip by packing my own foods and so on. But I still did it by over eating and enjoying some Ceasars too much with my old co-workers....he he
The following week I started fresh and followed my plan strictly and I lost that week.

If you feel that you over eat the odd time you might want to check out a link I have. The past 2 Fridays I have been going out with friends (I'm moving) and I kept that day as one of my higher point days because I knew I would be drinking beer.

My point range is 22-27 on 123 Success. So I vary my points everyday and have a total of almost 35 points on Fridays.
These are banked points of course. But it's working for me.
Actually we end up quite sick on Saturday and enjoy water (lots and lots of it) and we treat ourselves to a Big Mac Combo with diet coke and eat veggies and low fat popcorn at night.

you can go to your meeting to get motivated... just don't weigh in.
You don't have to weigh in when you go to your meeting. If you feel that weighing in would put you into a tail spin - don't do it. Make sure to go to your meeting though.. they always get me back on track :)

Thanks so much for all your words! The next day was defintely OP, but it takes diligence to keep the self-defeatist attitude from creeping in..I have to stay on my guard. I've been drinking a lot of water and keep track on my journal.
I'll let you all know how I did on Monday!

I think one bad day does not make a bad week. Count up your points for yesterday and just start over.

Don't let one bad day become two.

I think you should weigh in. If you stay at the low end of your points for a day or two and drink the water (lots of water) you will be ok.

Thanks for all the support. I went to my meeting and weighed in and lost another 1.6 pounds. So now I have lost 27 pounds.
I think I allowed myself to get too hungry, tried and angry that day. I am working on making sure I have a snack in the afternoon to help with the hungry part.

bad weigh in
 
Tue. May 7th

Had the worst weigh-in..............gained a pound.

Here is what you should not do on the way to ww.

Drink a 16 oz. bottle of water and a med. coffee from McD's.

I was thinking I would not make it to the meeting, then realized I could have time to go. Unfortunatly I had already tanked up like a camel. I weighed here at the house this morning and I think I may have maintained.

I really want to see a lose next week.

Way to go, Kittyhawk.

I've heard from others not to eat right before your WI and not to drink lots of water right before. I think that's true.
