Newbie on WW

Hello Everyone!

Well obviously I'm new to the WW form but not to weight loss. I lost about 40lbs 4 years ago on Atkins and I've put it allllll back on and maybe a few extra too! :(

I started off with Atkins again because it was the only thing I knew how to do that worked. However, after only 3 days I realized that Atkins isn't a long-term solution for me. So, I did some research and liked the Weight Watchers plan the best.

From what I know so far I think that it will be the easiest lifestyle to adapt to long-term and realllllly keep it off :)

So as a newbie I have a few questions that I would like to have answered by your pros!!!!!! if you don't mind of course.

First, what is the expected weight loss with WW? Do you lose a bigger amount in the first two weeks and then taper off to 1 or 2 pounds a week?

Second, for those of you maintaining, how does that work for you???? is it hard to maintain once you've hit your goal????

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

I look forward to getting to know you all!!!!!
:carrot:;)

i am going to be joining weight watcher tomorrow... I to have figured out that this is going to be the more effective and easier way for me to lose weight.
I wish you all the best of luck with it. I have asked that question in the past and have gotten all different answers from people. i totally believe it depends on your size and how much you use to eat.

Again i wish you all the best of luck and please let us know how you make out!!!

for me i lost big numbers to start, but i had big numbers to lose though. once i hit 260ish, it slowed considerably, now i lose 1-3lbs weekly. i've been at this for over 6 months now, i wish i would have started years ago. i think the plan is, for the most part, easy. and i think if i've made it this long, i know i can do maitenence. goodluck ladies

Hey All!

So I had my first weight in and I lost 2lbs! I'm thrilled to say the least!!! :carrot::carrot:

I think I needed to see at least 1lbs off the first week to prove that this works!! I'm not sure about everyone else but i'm super motivated by seeing bigger numbers coming off. Although, I don't want to lose it really fast because ultimately i want to keep it off long term.

I'm super happy with WW up to this point. I haven't felt deprived at all! On the contrary, sometimes I feel guilty eating this that other diets wouldn't permit . But, with weight watchers i'm slowly learning that it's all about accountability! You can eat it now, but that limits what you can eat later!!!!
