Hi all
Just a short note today. I feel like I havent written in here for a long time. I was lacking energy all weekend- still recouping from my cold I guess. Life goes on...and I am ready to take it on. I will go back to aquacisse and do what I can. STill kinda weak but hey.....something is better than nothing. This counting points and making choices is starting to become part of me. Today we had a shared lunch wehre a group of staff brings lunch. I brought my 1 point bun from home as well as a low point treat. So while the others enjoyed the bounty I enjoyed the veggies without dip, and the treats I brought from home. While they ate the chocolate trifle I ate my double chocolate hazelnut biscotti ( ww recipe) I did not feel left out. Choices are a good thing. Kady:dizzy: |
Kady - Good for you! You handled temptation well.
MySons3 - Congratulations on your loss! You've done well. I was OP all weekend. I WI tomorrow. Hope for some good results. I have several evening meetings that all end with dessert. I'm trying to figure out a way to decline without hurting anybody's feelings. I just as soon not say "I'm on a diet". Any suggestions? |
Well I am not having a great week. We have all had the flu and I have spent the last two days at the hospital with my mother. So food was not a priority and when I finally came home last night, I stopped by the local deli and ordered a hoagie. (God, how many points are in a hoagie?) Well today is another day. I think I am back on my point system.
Doxie: If the deserts are something you want to include, try one or two bites of it. This way the others don't necessary know you are dieting (or eating healthy as ww says). I don't know of any other way, but my eating out partners are so use to me dieting or binging that they don't give it a second look. Good luck. |
Doxie- I will pass my findings on to you and hope it helps. You need to do what is best for you and dont worry about what others think. I have lost 25 lbs or so in the last 2 months and not one person at my workplace has commented on what I think is obvious weight loss. This bothered me at first but them I realized I am doing this for me and the only one I need to impress with my successful loss is ME. The message everyone is concerned about themselves. Do what's best for you. Others really wont notice.

I look forward to meeting everyone. Take care, Christina:) |

Hi Everyone
I am down 2 pounds (in 2 weeks). I'm happy it's going the right way for a change. Christina - Are your walking tapes WW? Sounds like something I could use since my hubby informed me last night that it's warming up, and I now have no more excuses not to walk with him and our 2 dogs ( dachshund & huskie). They walk a couple of times a night - a long walk & later a shorter one. They about did me in last night, and we didn't go all that far. Talk about being out of shape. I have around 95 lbs to lose. Good luck to all this week! I have banned Easter candy from the house :) I love jelly beans and would eat them all. Fortunately, my kids are grown & gone so it isn't an issue for them. Have a great week! It's nice to see new posts. |
And the Verdict Is...
YES!!
Weigh in last night showed a great loss bringing my total up to 30.8 lbs in 12 weeks. I am thrilled with this and now have the strength and determination to keep to my points through Easter holidays/foods. No chocolate will pull me down. Kady:smug: |
GOOD JOB KADY :D You must be thrilled! Easter weekend won't get the better of you with your determination.
So far, so good with my week. Although I may be turning into ff popcorn before its over. That has been my snack for the last 3 nights. It keeps me out of other things and is filling. Off to work I go.... |
Hi everyone!
It's been such a long time since I've gotten online. The flu has finally left my family (knock on wood) and we are on Easter Break. Now some time to catch up with everyone. Joshuaswife - Welcome. The boys are wonderful. I've been back on weight watchers since February 1 and have had a steady loss although a few weeks it was .4 lbs. A little disappointing but at least a loss. Imagin8tion - Welcome. I was glad to see you are determined to lose the weight and the exercise is a good way to begin. Weight watchers seems to be the best long time solution to weight loss that I have found and I think I have tried just about all of them. Kady - It's great what you have done since January. 30.8 lbs is something to be proud of. Keep up the positive attitude, it will help during Easter. Doxie - Keep trying the walking with hubby. It is great when you have someone to do it with and the dogs need to walk anyway. Easter should be a little easier this year, we are going out to a restaurant for family style dinner. There are just too many of us to meet at anyone's home. My kids are past the Easter Bunny stage so there is very little candy that will be sitting around here, but we all love Milky Ways and they are here. God give me strength to refuse them. Spring has finally come today, 55 degrees compared to the 20s we had on Tuesday. I think I'll talk my kids into going for a walk with me. Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter. I'll post soon. :) |
Hello All, well I decided to join Weight Watchers (again). I'm 22, in college and have about 100 pounds or so to lose. I love this web site and I find a lot of encouragement from it. I'm going to get weiched today, I have no idea how much I weigh now so I'm kinda scared. Oh well, at least I'm starting to do something about it.
Off to the gym :strong: ?/?/200 |
