looking for a buddy for support

  • HI! After five years(and a beautiful baby boy ) I am determined to loose my weight. I have 101 pounds to go and need any advice and support I can get to make it. I have lost 60 before but I got pregnant and ended up putting 40 back on. I am in week five of weight watchers and am following a low carb diet. Any snack suggestions that are low in points and carbs would be great
  • Hi, Tammy, have you checked out the threads entitled Counting Down from 250 and above or the one for those in the 200+pound groups? You will find lots of support and advice at either of them. We all have over 100 lb to lose and this is the place to get inspiration and understanding.
    Welcome. Hope to learn more about you.
  • THANKS!!!
    It is nice to know there is someone there who understands. I am going to check out the other threads now
  • Tammy,
    I know this post was made a few weeks ago, just saw it...sorry. If your looking for a buddy still, just PM me. Hope you have a wonderful day.
  • Hi Tammy;

    I too have 100 lbs to lose to reach my goal weight. You sound determined to make this loss happen. Stick to it. I started WW Jan. 2 and have lost 21 lbs. ( weigh in is tonight )I have another 5 lbs to reach my 10% ( ) I will be happy when that happens. I focus on the 10 -20 lbs at a time instead of the 100 ( that still seems impossible to me) BUT I will make it not only possible but a reality If you are looking for another buddy I think it would be great to have a buddy who has the same long term challenge with their weight loss. PM me

  • HI..............I'd love a buddy too.

    So...........any help and motivation will be much appreciated.

    Thanks
  • Hi Tammy and all

    I am just so excited. After my last week loss of only .4 I lost 3 lbs this week. I really seem to lose lots one week then only a little the next. Anyone else have this happen to them...Its been 9 weeks now and that pattern has been with me from the get go.

    Take care all.

    Concentrate on what you lost not what you didnt.

    Hi and welcome. Yes I know those concerns. How can I possible lose the weight I need to. But now as I am 2 lbs from my 10% of 26 lbs I am thinking...yeah I can lose the 100 more I need to . I know it is going to be slow but sure and I have decided that I am worth the effort. ( although I dont find WW too much of an effort so far)
    Hang in there Linda
