question

So I've done w.w before with a lot of success(70+ down) and after my baby about a month ago, im inthe process of losing about 50 lbs now. So, my question is, if I eat let's say deli select turkey, 25 calories a slice, .5 fat, 0 fiber, and one serving is 1 point(one slice) andI eat two slices, which ends up being 50 calories, 1 fat and 0 fibers, is it still ONE point for those two slices or does it end up being two points. Do I count them individually or add the calories/fat/fiber together?

this should be simple, im making itmore complicated than I should.:D

The meat is still one point. Btw, :welcome: to 3fc, and to the Weight Watcher forum. Also, congratulations on your new baby. :)

As Jane said, the meat would just be 1 point :)

If it's the same food (for example if I have two cups of pasta instead of one) I add the calories/fat/fiber together and then figure the points. If it's a cup of pasta & a cup of sauce... those points are calculated separately.

i disagree bc they taught us to calculate point info according to serv. size and NI so it wouldnt necessarily be 1 point bc thats like saying 1 sl=0points and thats not something id consider 0, so id count 2... JMHOP.

I also agree with 'andreaphilip3'. We were also told to calculate according to serving size. In this case the deli slice works out to 1 point so if you have two it would be 2 points. If the initial slice had worked out to 0 points and you had two slice then it would be 1 pt for the two. Just my opinion based on what we were told at the meeting.

I wouldn't say 1 slice is a serving, but maybe others would. :) Regardless, good luck with WW. Sounds like you'll be successful, given your past accomplishments!

I agree with Jane as well. 1 point is equal to 50 cal - more or less - so that would make sense to me. You could always call the 800 to get more info! :)

My WW leader stressed figuring the calories/fat/fiber based on the amount you actually eat. So....if it's 50 calories/1g fat/0g fiber, that puts you at 1 point. I think there are many ways to interpret the plan, just be consistant with what you do and you'll be fine!

W/W says to total cal/fat/fiber up to be most accurate for the food you eat in ONE SERVING. So if you have 2 slices of it you total cal/fat/fiber up then figure points.

However if you do one slice at lunch and one slice at dinner you figure those points separately.
