New Here

Hi everyone!
I'm brand new here and i just posted over on the Buddy section and someone told me to come to this one :) I'll just repeat what i posted over there:
I have never talked about wieghtloss with anyone online before so i'm still a little shy about posting my weight. But i will say that i have about 110 pounds to lose. I'll give a little background for anyone interested in being a diet buddy. I recently turned 22 years old and about a year ago i started dieting, trying different things. I ended up really sticking with Slimfast, and actaully lost 53 pounds! However when Thanksgiving rolled around, then Christmas, and now New Years, i just completely gave up trying to stick with it, and ate whatever i wanted. I ended up gaining 13 pounds back and i REALLY don't want this to go any further and destroy all my hard work. But since i went off, i've tried to get back on several times and for some reason i can't get motivated again. I think having someone to account to would be good and might help me. If anyone else needs a buddy please e-mail me at [email protected] :)

I just wanted to welcome you to the board. I have not been posting here in so long I feel like a newbie all over again. I'm currently doing Weight Watchers and have lost almost 50lbs on it. My dedication has slacked off so much, I have returned here to get the support I once found. The ladies are wonderful and I hope you love the site as much as I do. Good luck on your journey.

Hi there...

I'm new here too, although not new to WW. I recently re-joined in early November, have lost 7 lbs since then. I was tempted to say ONLY 7 lbs but decided not to belittle my loss!

I last weighed in the week before Christmas, (meetings are Tuesday AM, so I've missed the last 2) so I am anxious to hop on that scale again next Tuesday! I have dealt well with the holiday eating, I certainly haven't starved, but I seem to have been able to balance things somewhat. At any rate, I'm not worried about the scale, whatever it is, it is...time to get on with this process!

About 4 years ago, I had lost 42 lbs on WW, going from 272 to 229in about 5 months, actually received my 40# star while I was on vacation, down the shore. I was SO excited to be in the 220's!! Well, I guess I was there for about a minute, it has been a steady uphill climb ever since! I have managed to gain about 24 lbs since then.

I loved the way I felt when I was losing, loved the compliments, the new clothes, how I looked in pictures...I want that back! I want to feel better, emotionally AND physically. And so, that is why I am here and I intend to stay here til the job is done...so that's about 100 lbs from now which would make me 154, although I would give my first-born child just to see the underside of 200 once again! (Haven't been there since I was pregnant with her, 16 years ago!)

So let's help each other in this journey...Good luck to all!

;)

I too am back again. Ilost 53 pounds since June and gained several back during the holidays. I am hoping that being back here will help be get my butt back in gear. I have been slacking off way too much and I just can't afford not to do it this time. The first step is deciding to do it and the next is comig back and doing it. We need to pat ourselves on the back for being ready to jump back in.

Good luck!!!

:) Melissa
