Water

My biggest problem is my water consumption. I hate it, but I am determined to make a better effort this year.

I think you are supposed to drink approximately 2 litres of water per day, my question is does it matter if the water is hot or cold. Sorry if this sounds basic, but in the cold months ahead this might make all the difference. :D

I know the benefits of still versus carbonated, so just wanted some further clarification. Hope someone can help and BTW -

Hi there. First of all -- let me help dispel some myths about the water -- there is no difference in still vs. carbonated. You may drink either, it doesn't matter. In terms of warm, hot, cold, also, THAT doesn't matter. Drink what ever feels good to you going down, whether it's warm w/ lemon squeezed in it, or warm flavored w/ herbal tea; or cold... as long as you get it in. Have a very happy new year and good luck reaching whatever goals you have set for yourself!

Regards, E

P.S. In terms of quantity: nutritionists believe that we should drink half our weight in pounds in ounces of water. In other words, if we weigh 200 pounds, we should drink 100 ounces. If we weigh 160 pounds we should drink 80 ounces. A liter, 33.2 ounces... a quart, 32 ounces, either way... whatever works, whatever you can gulp down!

I agree E!

Just drink as much as you can each day - anyway you like it.

I like both still water and carbonated - and drink both of them all day long (I don't drink much else).

I love water and guzzle it all the time - its just so darn good for you - and when I don't drink enough - I can feel it!!

Happy water drinking :)

Water Question

Hi- I'm new here- just wanted to know if the carbonated flavored water that has no calories, sodium, etc. (I think it's called "Free") that they sell at Wal-Mart is considered 'water"?:s:

It most certainly IS considered water. If it has no calories, it qualifies... enjoy. but do try to drink plain old h20 also. Very important to get UNchemicaled water into your system and schedule!
