Goal Weights

Now that I am almost halfway to what WW wants as my "goal weight", I am wondering how realistic it is. :?: I know that i can get a doctor's note for what they believe my weight should be but was just wondering if I shouldn't even ask the dr and keep going and going and going...I'd like some feedback...
I could possibly be feeling this because it seems so far away...but I haven't weight 150 since, ah, um....I think grade school??? :o

I don't know what your range is but my ww leader told me that they set my goal at the high end of my range. For example, my range is 142-184 so they set my goal at 184. I had been thinking 175 so I, personally, was relieved.

Maybe you should see how far you can go, and if you get stuck or find yourself at a comfortable weight then go see your doctor? No matter what, you have to do what's best for you :D

My WW goal weight is at the high end too!
Same as yours! 150!!! And I was 1 lb heavier than you when I started!;) How funny!

My doctor told me he will tell me when I get down to a weight range he would be happy with for me. Next visit I hope to lose another 10-15 lbs, so I should be in the 185-190 range. I am going to ask him if I am getting close!:D He didn't want to give me a weight when I began so I didn't have this number stuck in my head.

I've lost 63 lbs so far. And counting! ;)

That's awesome Kay and Princess...
Kay how does it feel to be in Onederland,,,I can't even wait! Okay, good idea, I don't really want a number in my head, we'll see how it goes. I'm going to a new dr in late September so I'm hoping to be under the 2's...that in itself, for me will be amazing! We'll see what happens...Thanks Gals!

Onl you can know where you'd like to be. This is a good time to discuss with your doctor on realistic goals for yourself. You also want a goal that you will not feel like you are dieting to maintain.

I discussed my goal weight with my doctor, we looked at the W/W ranges, we looked at my exercise routine and we figured it out. I set 150 which is outside the range that W/W has and when I reached it I made the decision to keep it or go lower.

Sometimes you will not realize what you want to be until you get closer.

I've wondered how realistic the WW range is for me as well. I'm only 5'2" so I think my higest range is only 137. I haven't talked with my Dr. about a goal weight but before I started WW, (when he was harping on me to do something about my weight) he was looking at a chart and also said I should be about 137. At that point I couldn't imagine me weighing that little. My sister, who is the same height I am, has since had weight loss surgery. She got down to 140 and is wearing a size 8, but even after surgery she is having a hard time holding that weight. My thought at this point is I'll just keep losing till I get to a point where I am comfortable or to where I just can't loose anymore then I'll worry about talking to my Dr. if it is not where WW says I should be.

Keep up the good work everyone.
