Default 12 WEEK CHALLENGE -- WEEK # 12 Nov 26 - Dec 2

IT'S UNREAL!!! HARD TO BELIEVE WE'VE GONE THROUGH A WHOLE 2ND CHALLENGE

Everyone has contributed so much to this Challenge and each other. I've got to say I'm very proud to be part of this 3FC group. You guys rock!

It amazes me that no matter what happens you all keep coming back. And you've kept me coming back as well.

So how about we take this week to give ourselves a little "pat on the back"? What are you especially proud of? What's kept you coming back to the OP track? And what are you looking forward to for the next Challenge?

I am proud that I've been journaling every day -- even Thanksgiving. It really makes me think about what I am putting in my mouth.

I'm proud that after losing the weight in July '98 -- I kept it off for two 1/2 years.

And then even though I gained back 1/2 of it in 2000/2001 - I was able to relose it and am at my dream goal for the holidays.

It's been such a gift to have all of you guys as part of my support team... and to be part of yours.

What's kept me coming back is that old phrase: "nothing tastes as good as thin feels". And seeing how all of you have come back to center through all kinds of adversities.

I'm a bit hazy about what may motivate me in this 3rd Challenge... will have to give that some thought.

I'm hoping not to gain again. Two weeks in a row is bad, even at .8 each time. But I've had a lot of stress and that is what kills me every time.

Well, here is this week:

Mon 27
Tue 23
Wed 24
Thur 23
Fri 26
Sat 23
Sun 23
Mon 24
Tue 19.5
Wed 22.5

Range 20-25

I WI Wed nite. Wish me luck.

Hang in there Myra ... just remember what we "could" be doing if we weren't on program during this holiday season. Looks like you've have a pretty good week, so don't be too hard on yourself no matter what the scale says. Especially if you're going through a stressful time, you need to give yourself a break, and remember all the things you are handling.

Today would start the first day of the 3RD - 12 WEEK CHALLENGE - but I'm wondering since most of you are still finishing off WEEK 12... would it make sense to "continue" week 12 into this week and start Week 1 on December 10th???

What do you think? If so, I'll then post it (on Dec. 10th) with all the pertinent info for any newcomers. I'd love it if you guys could add your insight into why the challenge works - for any newbies who might be thinking of joining us. Thanks.

I would be very interested in joining your new 12 week challenge, beginning on December 10. Knowing that you need to be accountable seems to help keep the focus. Let me in on the details!!!

Welcome Donna. I hope it helps you as much as it has helped me.

Patch, good idea to hold off a week so we can all post our losses now.

The Challenges really help. It makes me more accountable, sort of like posting journals and weighing in at meetings. I am less likely to have a high total for a day when I know I have to post it. Sometimes guilt is good.

I think I'll use this week to post just an informational thread about what the 12 WEEK CHALLENGE is - for anyone curious. I know anyone considering joining in, would love to hear why the Challenge "works"... so please let 'em have it!

I'm so happy. Weighed in and lost 3.2 lbs., which means I lost back the 1.6 I gained the past two weeks plus some. It felt great.

Katie, that is great. I can't wait to just get back to goal, let alone get to my comfort range. You are doing wonderfully.
