Congratulations, Amberoo! You're on your way, and seven pounds is such an awesome start! YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!

WW does work. I've been on pt., off pt., I've had losses and some slight gains. It's all about lifestyle changes. Give it time. I don't believe I would be where I am now without all the support from a wonderful leader and all the members. As of yesterday's weigh in I'm down by 48 lbs.
When I follow the 8 good health guidelines, I find that it's much easier to stay within my points.

I have had a rough week. In fact, I think I might be up.

But not because of ww. Because of me.

In fact yesterday when I was feeling all sorry for myself, and how I still hadn't lost another pound, I looked at my journal.

Not one veggie. Not one fruit. No good oils.

Gee. Wonder what the problem is?
:o

It will work. If you change your life.

You have to eat your fruits and veggies. You have to get some excersise in.
You have to take responsibility for yourself, and realize that if "you always do what you've always done..." you know.

Follow the plan. Not just the points.

And you'll do great!

Velveteen, I am amazed at your planning skills! Can you share more of how you do that? (shopping, journaling etc)

TIA!:)

frustrated, annoyed and nervous...heh

Thank you for the feedback and support - it means so much to me.

Raindancer - I too have had a rough week and I did gain at my last weigh-in.
I was PMSing really badly and messed up on two days. Dammmmit. Gained back 2.8 lbs. Now tomorrow is my weigh-in after lasts weeks gain and I'm real nervous. Now being on my period, not just PMSing, I wonder what will change, if anything.

I normally gain an average of 6-8lbs during my T.O.M. How do you get past that? Or do you just accept it and move on? And expect a bigger weight loss next weigh-in? Do you tell the person who is weighing you, that you're on your period?! I felt like such a failure as they leader said out loud in front of everyone that I gained and made a face like, "what the **** is wrong with you?" So embaressed. I thought I was paying for a supportive, nonjudgemental environment? I guess he was just trying to be funny.

GR8 - I think it's awesome you can rely on a wonderful leader and your fellow members but I cannot. I wish I cld say the same. I've never been one to enjoy group stuff - camps or trips or anything. But I gave the meetings a try 'cos I really wanted this to work and I wanted the full benefits. But mine aren't so great. I find my support HERE and here only. My local WW's team leader is obnoxious and unhelpful, I actually can't believe he's even one. I read so many posts on here praising their leaders and the supportive environment the meetings create. So NOT the case. I do not learn anything I don't already know, I don't get any tips or info or support out of it. The members just chat away to each other and/or sit in boredom looking around at each other while the leader chats about his vacations and wife, etc. I feel so uncomfortable there, esp since everyone seems to come with someone and I'm there alone, not knowing anyone.

So I've deiced to continue to go just for the weigh-in and the rest of the books. (which - aren't books at all! Tiny slivers of papers, here I thought each week I'd be getting a helpful book like the #1 - are any other books as helpful as the first??)

Sorry.....Just not in a very good mood about all this right now. I'm sticking with it for sure, and my frist two weeks proves to me that it does work with my effort and dedication - I'm just feeling a bit defeated and alone in this. But I know I'm not really alone, with all you lovely ppl helping me along the way, and for that I'm SO grateful.

I had to chime in here. If you don't like your leader, do you have the option to try another meeting? I tried 3 or 4 before I found a leader who I could really relate to. She is a godsend! The others, well, they may work for others, but not necessarily for me. I've been Lifetime for over 2 years now and I still go to the same meeting with the same leader. I'm still committed to WW. Trust me, it's worth the "search"!
