12 Week Challenge Week # 7 Oct 22 - 28

HEY THERE CHALLENGETTES.

The theme at my WW meeting was playing the Foodie Board Game of life.

Made me wonder what have we done and can do for FUN that keeps us on track???

I'm getting way too serious... so help me out guys. Let's have some fun d-mnit!!!

Well, gotta say I got a charge out of taking my 11 point dinner down the hall yesterday (Tuesday) - yes we live in an apt. building - and chowed down with a friend who just joined WW 6 weeks ago. I know it sounds fairly lame, but we had such a good time catching up on each of our lives - and WW tips - that the time flew, and when I got home I didn't even think about wanting dessert. And that NEVER happens! ;)

All the support I get on this and other WW support boards and WW e-mail lists definitely helps. Funny I never met any of you in person but I consider you all closer friends than some people who I see all the time.

Patch: I've been thinking about the question you posed...the boards, lists and my ww buddies have been a big piece of my game. For fun, hmmm, now that's the hard part. I think the fun part is figuring out how much I can get for good point values is fun to figure out.

Myra: I can relate, although we've never met each other I feel the same way, it's a circle of friendship and support here.

It's hard to believe that tomorrow marks the end of another month. Christmas will be here before we know it!

Hope everyone is having a good week. The weekend was a challenge for me. Here's my points so far:

Wed - 23
Thur - 25
Fri - 21
Sat - 25
Sun - 22
Mon - 23
Tues - 20.5

I have been getting out and getting more walking in. I've noticed that if I "force" myself to get out that once I'm going I'm fine. Walking is so important for my weightloss/maintenance efforts.

UPDATE: I went for my weigh and posted a .8 loss...woohoo! Takes me to 143#

mpinkham 10-30-2001 09:21 AM

Here are the totals for my week (range 20-25). I will report on my WI Wed. nite.

Mon 24
Tue 22
Wed 24
Thur 24
Fri 23
Sat 27
Sun 25

Myra- Good job, you have done an amazing job or sticking to your goal of getting back to goal.

well, for travelling I did pretty well.

down .8, making it only 12 lbs to top of goal range and only 20 for ideal weight, that may or may not be attainable short of organ removal.

when all journals are inputted into handy, dandy
italian student diary, then the numbers will
be added.

Next challenge: international travel, great food and unsure of exercise opps!

must be sure to drink water, try and walk 50 mins a day and stay away from desserts and definitely journal.

will journal in travel journal and treat myself
with a new pen or funky french/german notebook if I do the right thing....

much better than chocolate!!!!!!!

btw, I stuck to my goal of exercising all but four days this month. Was gonna buy some funky shoes, decided to put the money towards the lala expensive watch fund :) or ring resetting fund.

Lalala, we are twins. I lost .8 too! I was very happy with that as this week it was definitely a struggle to stay OP. The munchies monster was after me.

Wow... Melissa, Myra and Lala you gals ROCK!!!

OK Here it is... I went way off program when visiting my parents. It was a tough time. Parents getting old... I love 'em and it was unnerving. so I eat for ocmfort and escape. My dad had made a childhood favorite of mine - meatloaf hash - and yes I had two helpings and then sneaked another "bite" at midnight. Whoa.

I've been having multiple biz meetings out and was completely off program. But here I am "back in the saddle again" - ready for a new day.

Congrats to Myra, Melissa and lala on their losses! I weighed in last night and stayed the same for the 3rd week in a row, which is pretty good since I've been increasing my daily point allowance since deciding to maintain instead of lose. Here are my point totals from the last week:

Wed: 27
Thur: 22
Fri: ?
Sat: ?
Sun: ?
Mon: 29
Tues: 29
