Default My Update.

Hello Everyone!!

Well I had my final Appointment on April 4th. This means I have gone through all the series of appointments that I was required to do to have WLS. For my final appointment, I met with the same bariatric nurse I met during my first Apptment almost a year ago and she went over my food journal and talked with me more about the surgery. Then I met Dr. Birch and he is the specialist who performs the Lapriscoptic surgery. Which is how I am suppose to have it. He also talked about the disadvantages of surgery (Which I knew all ready!) But he also asked me personal questions pertaining to my weight. After all of this we shook hands and he said to wait for the hospital to call. But then I asked: "Will this be another 6 months?" He said it wouldn't be. I didn't mean to sound so pushy, but I have been waiting for this for along time and 2 years going back and forth to doctors.
So on Monday, the doctors personal secretary phoned to tell me that they are faxing my medical screening papers to my family Doctor. My doctor saw me on April 12th, 2005, a Tuesday, and he said we should get this all started so that I could have my surgery right away. So that day, I had part of my medical pre-opt done which included Blood Work and an E.K.G. Tomorrow, April 14, 2005, Thursday, I will have a chest X-Ray and a Lung Function Test. I am over anxious now! I can't wait to finally have this surgery over with.
As soon as I receive my surgery date, I will let you all know. I hope I get it before the end of April. Keep your fingers crossed!

Faith

Hi GreeneyedFaith,

I'm so excited for you! It's a whole new world after this surgery and while it will alway be a work in progress it'll be the best thing that you've ever done.

Best of luck and I wish you a speedy recovery!!
