I'm getting ready for.
 

My last meal before surgery. I'm going out to dinner tonight. I know I must sound like a huge drama queen. I have my surgery on the 18th, and I do the bowel prep stuff tomorrow so no real food after today. I'm excited to finally be having the surgery done, this will be like saying goodbye to my old life. Sounds pretty goofy, huh? Did anyone else do this?

and yes, we've ALL had something special as our last meal.. or two.. or more [for some of us!!!!] but please remember: it's just TEMPORARY. yes, it'll be awhile before you can eat certain things, BUT you WILL be able to eat them again.

keep us posted on the bowel prep.. not fun, we know, but you can survive it. come and post when things get tough...

and do you have someone availalbe to tell us how you're doing after your surgery? we'll be worried.. we want to know...

I had a very large lobster tail, and a side of crab legs. I got stuffed. It was a very nice meal. On the flip side, this bowel prep isn't fun at all. I was prepared, but it's icky! I have a little bit of a head ache, I think because the prep they gave me is sodium based and I think my electrolytes are a little bit out of whack now. I've only done half, and the other half I'm supposed to do at around 7pm. Anyway, I'm really excited about my surgery tomorrow. I don't have anyone who can post for me, but I'll post as soon as I can. I'm sure everything will be fine. Thanks for the well wishes.

Monica, that last meal sounds like my idea of heaven!!! and the prep sounds kind of like a colonoscopy!!! yuk!!
What time are you scheduled tomorrow? Good vibes and prayers being sent out for your speedy recovery..............
