I'm still being a health club drop-out this week. Hopefull by Monday I'll feel like getting back. I tried to do the balance ball video, but most of it was on the ground, and I don't do "ground" cause I can't get up because of 1) my wieght, and 2) I'm never supposed to put pressure on my artificial knees. So I've been bieng a slug.
But I have been missed. I had a lady from the health club come by the office Tuesday because everyone had been missing me and knew something must be wrong, or I'd be there. Also she was in the water with me the day I couldn't keep up and had to leave. Makes you feel good to be missed. |
Oh gosh...I can post here! Part of the reason I have been mia is that I have been walking. Walking with dh in the morning and with the big kid at night. I am doing about 3.5 miles + a day....have I lost any weight?????????? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO But I AM walking! The big news is that the little guy and I walked about 2 miles this morning. For those of you who know of him...that is a great BIG HUGE deal since he used to be so impulsive that he would run away and I would have to have a vice like grip on him at all times.
So far this month I have only lost 3 pounds and I am growing extremely frustrated. grrrrrr.. and double grrrrrrrr... peach |
Pookster -- I know you're kidding about the "scram, fatty" (least I sure HOPE you're kidding) ... but seriously, we're all here at 3FC for the same reason --to lose the weight and keep it off forever.
You may look at my photos and see someone who doesn't look fat now, but under that size 4 surface still beats a size 22 heart. Which is to say -- I will NEVER forget what it felt like to be 257 pounds. I feel like I'm masquerading in this smaller body; believe me (and Jiff deals with this too, I know), it's very hard to get your mind to accept that your body has changed. In my mind, I'll probably always be a fat girl. Every one of us at 3FC is at our own unique place in our weight loss journeys but we're all here to offer support and encouragement. If there's any place in this world where you'll never hear "scram, fatty", it's here at 3FC, and that includes the Maintainers Forum. You -- and everyone else -- are always welcome there; it's never too soon to be thinking about how you're going to maintain your weight loss. After all, you'll lose the weight in what? a year or two? And then for how many years do you plan to keep it off??? Lots more, I assume! :) |
Hey, Pook -- I'm saving that sign for YOU! :D We're going shopping, chickie, when you're all done losing the weight and we're going to buy you tiny clothes -- you just wait and see! No more big T-shirts (to hide the butt  ) and elastic waist pants and granny undies!

I went BOWLING today!!!
I only bowled one game and did terrible, but ohhhh what fun. I used to bowl all the time, love it, and was really pretty good. But because of the weight and the knees etc I had to stop. Went with the "young" families from church and had a great time. I told them that their party was officially crashed! My arthritis has been much better this week, I hope it's not just because I haven't been going to the club. My cold is still hanging on and making me miserable. I plan to start off slow next week and just walk two or three days and do the 2 easy days of Water aerobics. |
