Hi Jiffy, any new developments re. Cheryl's surgery? She has been on my mind.

jiffypop 03-17-2004 04:01 PM

<hanging my head> yes. she had her surgery, and it went well. except that it seems that she has some drainage issues.. and she feels REALLY LOUSY these days. it'll be quite awhile before she's back to something resembling normal.

in the meantime, 3 longterm postops have had to go in for adhesions and some intestines that got wrapped around somewhere. they're not feeling well, either.

they've been in HUGE amounts of pain, and found that almost no one wanted to listen to them. when they finally were able to get the gatekeepers to give them appts, the docs scheduled surgery within DAYS [not even a week!!!!]

so be warned: abdominal pain when you're long ago post op is NOT to be ignored!!!!!!

Thank you for the response Jiffy. I am glad to hear that things went well with the surgery and I hope that once the healing takes place there will be no more complications. Seems she has had more than her share. Normalcy must feel like the most desirable state to find again...
