financial help with gastric bypass
 

Hello to everyone out there! I am new to this website and was wondering if I could get some information. I am 31, 240lbs, have high blood pressure, and have had surgery on my knees 3 times. About 11/2 years ago my husband had a good job with great insurance and I was approved for gastric bypass, long story short I chickened out on the surgery and he has recently been layed off and now we have no insurance (that is the way my luck runs). My question is is there any financial help out there for someone who really needs this surgery but can't afford to pay for it themselves? Thanks for any help. Grapefoxx

Do you have state health insurance where you live? We have what is called medicaid for lower income families here and my sister was on that and they covered her gastric bypass. Her fiance works and she still qualified for medicaid.
