Bypass Surgery

I had my surgery about 14 - 15 years ago. I started at 270 lbs and lost 100 lbs easily early on. After that it's been a constant struggle just as before. My lowest weight so far has been 160 and I seem to plateau there. It seems to be my bodies happy place. I would like to get a little lower than that so I keep working on it. I just want people to know that surgery isn't a magic pill. You still have to work on it and after so many years now I also have developed some vitamin deficiencies that need to be monitored regularly.

Just a little FYI

Exactly... not a cure.

I appreciate that it worked for you, and it does work a bunch, I would have lost my dad and maybe even my mom too from health complications. I just know my mom has told me repeatedly that she wouldn't have done it again, that she was beter for it but her life is harder now. On the other hand my dad lost his goal the went up again. And my grandma had two botched and had to have her stomach remade, which took its toll on her health, now she's doing fine. All I want is another article from a different perspective or maybe even sit down with a doctor to have them explain what it is how it helps and why it has side effects, so you won't get the negative vibe from people that you say goes with the surgery. Its a major life choice for the betterment of you, I know how it helps even if it wasn't me getting it.
