Morning! Early Saturday morning and I'm all alone, kids are all in bed. I don't expect to see any of them until close to noon and hubby is still in London......comes home tomorrow :dancer: Don't tell him, but I really do miss the pain in the arse.

Cindy sorry to hear of the knee pain. Before surgery it was an everyday thing I had to deal with. Now, well lets just say, not something I do on a regular basis, but if I need to I can run. Not a pretty sight, just picture the girls smacking me in the face and Matilda the spare tire jiggling :lol: Cindy I never thought the weight loss would do so much for my knees. My orthopedic doc told me prior to surgery that my knee problem was non-weight bearing..........well what did he know?

Chickadee I'm so so sorry to hear of your insurance plight. Any chance at all of a different insurance company in the near future? Well we know almost for a fact that Kaiser is useless, but why not go ahead and switch to the other company, Pacificare and give them a go, can't hurt. Just look on the bright side :rolleyes: :lol: the BRAVES ARE IN TOWN this weekend. My Javy is injured so he may not play, but Chipper is playing.......or as the Met's call him LAAAARRRYYYY, LAAAARRRRYYYY!!!

Thanks Barb, ole Alvin, Jiff and I are all in the same boat.....working on those last few pounds. I know Jiff will be looking into plastic surgery, but what about ole Alvin, is he considering it? My hubby and especially my youngest child, the daughter, turn green when I mention plastic surgery. I totally understand why they react that way......their afraid and I must admit, I am also........a little afraid.

My morning started off so well :rolleyes: I walk into the den with a full cup of coffee and spill part of it. Thank goodness one of my slob son's had taken a shirt off and thrown it on the floor. All the coffee landed on his shirt :lol:

I thought I would weigh (bad pun) on the knee issue. I have very bad arthritis also, but the doctor has been giving me a shot or cortisone in my knee and that REALLY helps. it only hurts for a minute or two, but the relief comes in a day or two and can last as long as 6 months or as short as a couple of weeks, depending on the inflamation in the knee. I had to be aggressive about it, but now they do it routinely, along with a lecture about how much better my knee would be with the weight off.

I have been lurking here--trying to get information in order to make up my mind. You all are an inspiration to me and the weight off is great, KEEP it UP

Deb, Ole Alvin & his doc agreeded that he needs to loose 50 more pounds before plastic surgery. He has also developed quite a large hernia, and the doctor says that that's great, because they will repair it at the same time they do the plastic surgery AND because of the hernia, the insurance will pay for it.!!!

Yesterday was my appointment with the sleep doc. I tried my best but couldn't talk her out of scheduling me for the overnight test. It's set for 9/ll. I'll let you all know how it turns out.

sorry I have been mia lately...I am low on.....energy! I am trying to balance getting enough protein in and wind up being tired alot.

any who.....Chickadee, sweetie, I am not sure what to say...pretty weird, eh? I just know that you can not give up. The thought of going on another diet gags me but in retrospect I would have been smarter to be in stronger shape for surgery. Stuff happens, things change, you can appeal, maybe your surgeon has a financing plan?

Debkay, glad your dh is coming home today. I know you'll be glad to see him.
