FINALLY!!! endoscopy results!
Today was the day. The verdict - in the doc's own words: you have a whomping big ulcer that's causing a stricture in the anastomosis. I'm surprised that you're keeping ANY food down.
He tried to stretch it out, but he said that it didn't work well. ok. so, for you new folks do you understand that this means? 12+ years after surgery I have an ulcer that's extending DOWN the section where the tiny tummy is attached to the small intestine. ANYTHING can happen at ANYTIME. As of now, the plan is this: nexium twice a day, eat as I can [soft is best for awhile]. and see them in a month. i KNOW there will be another endoscopy or two in my future, but that's a ways off. I am BEYOND thrilled to have some answers now - after two years of vomiting and NO ONE listening to me!!!!! |
Finally....you got some answers. Now you have a game plan!!!! Hurray!!!
|
Glad your finally getting some answers. I hope that the nexium works.
|
thanks, ladies. from the first dose, the nexium seems to be really helping with the pain. now, fingers crossed about the healing. i'm actually starting to [heaven help us!] PERK UP a bit!!!

Hi Jiffy
I'm not an active member of 3FC. I pop in every once in a while to see what's going on. I've always enjoyed your posts. You give honest and thoughtful advice to those who are searching for answers about Gastric bypass surgery. Glad to hear you've got answers for your problem. Praying you'll continue to heal. :)
